Dude, you have been, and still are, sucking the rest of europe (and a lot if the world) dry for manpower and brainpower.
It's only fair to give one small portion of that benefit back.
More people from my country moved to germany once we entered EU (all of them young, many with kids) then when we had a war raging.

[deleted post]Bing Chat is pretty big though, and Microsoft seems to consider it a subset of Bing Search. I'm not sure it clears the 45M bar in the EU, but it may be close. Not to mention that Yahoo uses Bing Search internally, which probably clears the 45M with no problem.
Side note: Has anyone else here noticed how many comments feel like they've been written by ChatGPT, especially on any Apple related article?

Microsoft's Bing search service is clearly not used by anyone.
But Apple announced in April that it has more than 100 million active iPhones in Europe, so 45 million users is a laughable excuse.

Voidz, 05 Sep 2023You will be able to send and receive messages on iMessage f... moreNo, it's not the same like how email works. When you registered your number for one of the messaging app, either it's iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, etc., it will registered as an iMessage/WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal account and will be only accessible on that specific app. Kinda like how Google Account and Microsoft Account work. Even though you're made both account with same email, it doesn't have any connection each other.

If I am not mistaken here, all comments defending apple must have been apple's fanatics. Apple must obey the EU's regulations or face a big loss. I fully support EU's regulations to prevent any company for that matter to do what they want even at the disadvantage of the consumers esp. the fanatics. While it can be argued that customers have freedom to choose, it would be much better that our choice will inclusive rather than exclusive like what apple does.

dbjungle, 05 Sep 2023I think it's unclear what the consequences of this wil... moreYou will be able to send and receive messages on iMessage from WhatsApp, kind of how email works. If you use gmail you are not limited to other gmail users you can send and receive messages from anyone with an email address their aim will be the same for messaging apps.

dbjungle, 05 Sep 2023I think it's unclear what the consequences of this wil... moreAs someone living in the EU I can tell you that the EU is an unnecessary institution that costs a lot of money for doing nothing. EU politicians like von der Leyen are clowns and the only one who gains from this fuss are the poor, undeveloped countries of europe who get subsidies for doing nothing again, while the industrialized countries like the netherlands or germany have to pay in in order to keep those sales countries alive to strengthen their own economy and keep them dependent.
