My Rules of charging, 14 Sep 2023Never limit the battery charge because you have the option ... moreFast charging is nice. You can still get thousands of cycles with fast charging but stop charging at latest 4.20v. You won't need to change battery for like 5y of ownership. If you want to extend that to 10y then end charging at 4.10v

The added benefit of charging to 4.10v is that you'll save a ton of time charging. Charging from 0% to 85% takes only a little longer than from 85% to 100% so you'll probably cut your charging time by 1/3 at least. All while preserving the battery for 10y. Neat!

Partial charging is a feature android root users have enjoyed for a very long time. I'm happy Samsung implemented it in their OneUI 5.1.

Heck, the Tab also has S Pen support. In the EU, there's always the Fairphone and its stupidly easy repairability to play with.

Never limit the battery charge because you have the option to do so.
Never use fast charge even if you have a fast charger. Turn fast charge off in the setings.
Always charge your phone for 8 hours. Don't plug it off and in while charging.
Don't use your phone while charging. If possible; turn it off.
You may turn on your after the first hour of charging.
Don't use your PC or Laptop to charge your phone.
If you have to transfer files, don't unplug it earlier than 8 hours.
Don't use any other charges than the one came with it.
If not, buy an expensive original one.
Turn it off while charging, especially if your phone doesn't have option to stop fast charging.
Let your battery drop down to Zero percent once every 2 months. Don't do that less frequently.
Factory reset your device every 6 months.

I do this with all my devices. That's why my 11 year old laptop's battery still lasts 2 hours. My 10 year old Note 3's battery still lasts more than a day... My other phone's batteries are also still new and lasts more than 2 days.

The point is: Don't believe everything you read on the internet, including this.. There are people who wants you to get a new phone frequently. Like there is a local phone shop owner telling people to do everything which would destroy their batteries so they would buy a new phone from him...

              Endurance is almost same.
Highly doubt battery is still high.
Guess apple may not be only slowing down to increase endurance.

By the way, use proper device to measure battery capacity.
Those apps do not work properly.

Explain why phones with fast charging charge above 43 celsius and not below 30 if vooc is so good.
Some xiaomi phones can reach almost 60 celsius. That is way worse than using SD810 at full power.

                2. The main audience of these articles are Apple users who NEVER tried android or at least tried going outside their bubble.

And it's also funny that Apple only announces a security exploit AFTER it has been patch, giving the illusion that Apple loves their customers well-being. Let's just forget user were exposed to an exploit without them knowing.

That would be great except for two things
First do you really expect the typical iPhone user not to be using the phone during the charge cycle

Equal first do you expect the typical iPhone user phone to reach 100% and if so to remain at 100% for any extended time.

I have never had that Android app myself but on my earlier phone the battery app could be programmed to alarm at percentage level you decide both ways, during discharge and recharge.

Who you gonna trust me or my phone i.e manual or app

Even if you accept the premise of what it purports to do, if you regularly use say 150% and charge to 80 % you still will have charged it more times

In a week you have used 1050% and charged it 13 times

There is another comment on Oppo battery 1600 cycles

Battery Health deminishes with each recharge performed!

If you regularly recharge not to 100 and use more than 100% your battery health and will deteriorate FASTER contrary to which is opposite to is desired

Heat is a factor but not to the extent of recharging.

We've all been there used the phone whilst it is being charged both phone and charger get hot

" It seems like the feature will be available only on the iPhone 15 series."

In the Android world, almost everyone have it. Galaxy S20FE has it, even LG phones have it.
To be honest, although they've made a really good phone, one I can use if my apps were there, I still have 2 questions:

                        1. With their privacy claim exposed, why're they charging so much money?
                        2. What is actually new, something we Android users never saw in life?

Battery usage (analyze what apps use battery)
Battery saver (reduces background tasks and forces 60Hz refresh rate)
Adaptive battery (attempt to get apps to use less background battery)
Optimized charging (Waits to charge the final 20% until soon before you unplug)
Overcharging protection (Limits battery to 80% ONLY after 3 days plugged in continuously)

If you could keep 80% after 1600 cycles ( this would be about 4 years and 3 months if person charger once per day) , then you would not need new battery that soon.
