I like how everyone trying to bash fast charging and defend slow charging always pulls the "chemistry and physics" card, as if they know everything.

In my case, which is an actual real life example.

Unit 1 was charged with the 15W charger it shipped with for 1 year, and at that time it already had noticably worse battery life than brand new.

Unit 2 was charged with the 120W charger it shipped with for 2,5 years, and it still doesn't have noticably worse battery life.

    Advertising 27 and provide 23 is wrong.
    Advertise 120 and provide 85 is even worse.

        Of course I have, but that's due to me using the phone, there is not much else to do about that, other than not using the phone. While I charge my phone, it doesn't get anywhere near as hot as it does while using it, and I also don't use my phone while it's charging, of course.

          This is temperature phones remain while doing very light tasks.

          Phones with fast charging get as hot as phones with gaming. Havent you seen that battery drains faster when phone is hot?

          Laptops have used fast charging for more than 10 years, you recharge them every day and in less than 15 months battery is already very impacted.

Hea... moreUnlike iPhone 14 users who are losing 10%+ battery capacity in a year or less compared to old iphones or even Androids, my LG is still at over 80% despite having a dual screen. Oppo users can always have their phones changed on year 2 or, even better, on their final year.
            But then I remember users (all brands included) will just change phones then.

                Unit 2 will only be charged with 15W charger.

                You use both phones equally for 1 year.
                You measure battery capacity after these 12 months.

So basically to prevent battery degradation, just don't use your phone, because that would also generate heat, and if you don't use it, you don't even have to charge it. There you go, solved your problem.

                  Any type of charging will generate heat, but the slower the process, the longer the phone stays hot.

                    Hopefully this is just the start, and later models will also get the same treatment.

                          Heat is bad for battery. Body at 44-47 celsius is bad for battery.
                          That is physics + chemistry.
                          Not marketing.
