EU regulations need to give another slap to Apple for imposing such anti consumer scheme. That new regulations about removable battery in years to come might wake Apple. I mean thanks to them they finally forced Apple for usb C.

RealLifePhones, 20 Sep 2023Software locking a piece of glass deserves a 0/10.I don't understand how you can software-lock a non-technical item ? Does it have some ribbon chip attached which corresponds to the originally married part?

It’s precisely because of anti-repair stuff like this that Apple’s environmental efforts feel like greenwashing. It’s also why them “supporting” right to repair in the USA is shady at best… their actions are contradictory. It’s always a few steps forward and a few steps back at the same time, like iFixit says.

GAMIR3DH, 20 Sep 2023I mean knowing Apple they wouldn't get anything near 7... moreThey sell 60$ replacement USB-ports and claim they are pro-consumer for doing it.
On Amazon you could always get these parts for 5$ or 10$ max but thank to them sellers now charge a lot more.
The software locks aren't new and they always gave iPhones better scores than androids while the latter doesn't software lock everything. They are hypocritical af!

Just evaluate the 15 based on the 14 and be done with it.
