Anonymous, 22 Sep 2023Majority of customers wont ever use the macro or ultrawide ... moreHow can you say that ultrawide cameras are rarely used? It can shoots better on landscape / nature view. Yes about macro cam. Ultrawide cam with autodocus can capture macro cam. I mean if company still put gimmickly three cameras.
They don't need to put expensive protected glass like Victus, higher resolution screen (446 ppi), 12GB-16GB RAM, but sacrifice the camera quality and put slow USB speed on it.
Yes someday we will see more than 24GB of RAM but remember that faster access need flagship better SoC too.
Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is just mediocore SoC. Faaarrr worse than 7+ Gen 2. It's useless to put 12-16GB on it especially when they make the price more expensive. Better buy other phones with faster SoC but with 8GB of RAM instead of 12GB but with medioker SoC.

Anonymous, 22 Sep 2023Majority of customers wont ever use the macro or ultrawide ... moreI've seen many people utilize ultrawide. Usually when showing their room, setup, car interior, first person or up close sports action. I use ultrawide. Other than that, 12GB sweet spot. I have 8GB, no problems, but 12GB seems like a good future proofing option.

hmm, 22 Sep 2023I prefer good hardware over long term software support espe... moreI agree, a lot of people are not bothered by the security risks hyped by western cultures, many people have their devices (android) for 3-4 or even 5 years, long after all the updates have ended and they still work great, app support is the only problem for some but for many, they can just install an updated APK file. Apple is great in pushing updates but my cousin's iPhone 11 however have started becoming slow after major OS updates so she switched to iP14, one year later her battery capacity was already at 86 percent and I don't know why I am suddenly talking about battery life but my primary phone, Huawei P40 is still at 95% after almost 3 years of use. Some blame the heat generated by the fast charging but c'mon, others can even charge at 120W yet it doesn't heat that much.

Gusta, 22 Sep 20232 MP macro camera is useless. Give it minimal 5 MP macro an... moreMajority of customers wont ever use the macro or ultrawide anyways so what be the point ? These 2 cams are just there for the trend point to have 3-4 cameras cause more cams are better for marketing to people who think more is better.
Same with the RAM as you dont need more then 8GB like you see Samsung S22 and S23 dont have more then 8GB RAM on these phones. And i dont talk about the plus versions and pro and ultra and max and super 3000 gt master models.
In few years we probably see 32GB ram and 64GB ram on phones when we already now have 24GB RAM phones.
It's just bad for the software cause it makes the optimizing lazy when phones have so much RAM to be used so why bother to optimizing to run on less resource ?

[deleted post]My friend all that is pretty interesting but whether your phone have or not have water resistance or water rpoofnes t does not matter.
Every human who care for his things uses case and a screen protector.
And litterary even no IP rated phone of nowdays can withstand few rain drops.
Also no clever human would make calls or send texts under heavy rain.
Accidents can happens and for that we have warranty and insurance for those who like.
In other words i told it many times before saying it now IP rating is a good thing in few cases but to me is nothing than an expensive gimmick not worth to have because its something you dont need or use every day but only in certain accidents. Which is zero in most cases.
And any person can buy a case or even better waterproof case which he can use even in salt sea water or chlorinated water,
