Interesting phones... But Pixels have never really been my thing. Skimpy storage with 4-digit markups and no MicroSD slot, poor battery life, no headphone jack, no USB-OTG, and from a company I hate that also seems to randomly forget some of the most important parts of a phone (bad modem on P6, for example).
Software support is really good for some people but I personally don't like taking a gamble on getting a good feature or anti-feature in the next Android update.

It's still a Samsung fab, I'm still expecting it to whiff in that department compared to the Snapdragons. But an 8 Pro that actually delivers on that side of things would be my top choice ahead of the S23 Ultra.
One of my friends is tempted by the vanilla 8, and her partner preordered an 8 Pro, but she's waiting until the thermals are known as she's unusually heat-sensitive and also prefers to use a case. (While the 8 Pro is too big for her, having one in the house will allow her to get a feel - literally - for the thermals.)

And I agree with that user. Eliminating the headphone jack is not good for consumers. It's taking away a feature completely for the sole purpose of making more profits off of accessories, such as the dongle. And the fact that you accept that means you are not a critical thinker.

It's like saying Huawei and Xiaomi phones are widely available in US because you can get it online. That goes for India too. If you can't walk into a shop and pick it up, it's not available in the country.

1000 bucks for a phone that only comes with problems and service centers are complete bollucks... Hell no, i'm happy with my chinese Nubia z50, far away from google and way less than half the price listed for the Pro model, i barely payed 400 euros for this beauty

For me personally, the camera results is number 1. Because i am a family man and want to shoot pics and videos of my kids in best possible quality. I am not a pro grade shooter and i don't need a pro device. Just need a phone to do stuff for me and with ease.
I don't give a sht for performance as i don't play games on a phone. You can game on almost any phone these days but that doesn't mean you should be doing this as everyone knows heat is not the best friend of electronical components and even "specialized gaming phones" are not great for gaming, they're just a little bit better then their standard flaghsip counterparts without special coolings.
Pixel 4 is their last good flagship? Okay. Why do you think so?
Pixel always arrived with a whole generation old SoC's and that phone was really expensive when it was released with useless gimick like a "soli radar" which was their main selling point.

not even for free. I hate pixels. They tend to imitate the worst out of Apple. They were the first to ditch removable battery, radio fm, micro sd, audio jack... Prices keep on rising, features to be left out. Very overrated phones

I have the following Pixels
3aXL 64GB white
4a5G 128GB black
6pro 128GB white
7pro 128GB white
Also have the Nexus 5 (which for me was and still.is probably the best device that Google have developed).
Will I get 8pro? Depends on Google start to discount them, I got the 7pro for $850 AUD about 4 weeks ago and so far the device has gone well above expectations for my needs.
Most likely will get the 8pro but will be some time next year.
