justasmile, 17 Oct 2023So is it MiOS or HyperOS?MiOS was just a name made up by some random internet tipster.

The literal CEO of Xiaomi is saying the new OS name is HyperOS.

Except replace "100 dreamers" with 100 copycats lol .

There is no magic in Xiaomi's rise . They sourced out of slavery and made profits out of UI advertising . And stole who knows how much user data in exchange of good hardware . Uneducated , poor Asians are majority of victims .

If they can reduce the bloatware, remove the ads, put proper Chromecast screen mirroring (right now they still use the outdated Miracast), correct the machine translated parts of the UI, modernize the graphical elements of the interface and reorganize the Settings menu to be more logical, it’s going to be great! Longer software support (minimum of 4 years of security updates, even for low-end devices) would also be great.

Interesting name, definitely much better than MiOS would've been.

They should have done this a long time ago, like what Samsung did with One UI and stop launching a system for China and another for outside of China, launch the same thing everywhere like Apple with iOS and Samsung with One UI

HarmonyOS and Android OS have completely different architectures. HarmonyOS is based on a microkernel while Android is based on monolithic architecture. Huawei has even already started to get rid of the android support layer in HarmonyOS so future HarmonyOS will not support Android apps.

Like a top performance car, fast acceleration and good handling, it is called a hypercar. For Xiaomi, it is called HyperOS because MIUI is the smoothest and fastest UI/OS on a smartphone. I'm not lying or joking, read the long term Xiaomi review for yourself, every review, MIUI is always one of the smoothest.
