My home / light gaming phone is an Infinix Zero X Pro, which is on the verge to complete 2 years since it's release and it's in my possession for 1 year, maybe a bit more. I have no plans to upgrade or get another phone until it stops working naturally.

My daily-driver phone was an Infinix Hot 11S and after 11 months of usage, I decided to sell it and get a smaller phone. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 for 2 or 3 months now. Galaxy Note10 just completed 4 years since its release, received its last secuity update in August and still delivers amazing performance and overall quality. I got it in excellent condition from an authorized store that take care of second hand and refurbished devices and have absolutely no plans to upgrade.

Last in my list is a Xiaomi Redmi 6A, which I got in 2018 months after it's release. It still works fine, despite the absolutely mediocre battery life after 5+ years, now I use as an MP3/music streaming phone while on the bus or metro.

Been using Reno 5 4G until now, runs for 3-4 years better than when my F1s run for 4 years
I can tell that OPPO still give a nice support for the newer phones, even if my phone is not likely to have Android 14
But at least it has better given upgrades
    11-13 on Reno vs 5.1-not likely 6 on F1s

With such support for lower end phones these days, I am more satisfied to buy cheaper phones and wait 3 years until it's time to buy new ones.

Previous phone: Xiaomi MI3, used for 4 years.
Current phone: OnePlus 6, purchased at launch, 5+years old.
Currently looking for a replacement as OnePlus pushed an update OOS11.x which made my OP6 barely usable.
OP6 hardware is excellent and there is no damage as I have used the phone carefully, so if it gets stable updates for 2 more years, I'll happily use it.
I cannot use custom roms as certain apps won't work on it.

Current phone i bought in year october 2020 which have AMOLED display, android 12, 64GB storage, 6GB RAM and many other things which can be used without any problem till 2025, i think.
So, after 2025 i may buy if current one gets too old and if it don't become old i will continue to use it.

This is directly from Xiaomi service center
          So, not expensive.

Lithium-ion batteries should be less than 6 months old when bought. Also, applies to car batteries.

It's a better idea to buy a 2yr old flagship than a current midranger I've been using an Xperia 1 since 2020 only issue is the battery and the cameras(about the quality of a current midranger), might get a new one next year

I still keep my phone from 2019 as backup. I'll probably change my current primary phone that I've had since 2021 in the 2nd quarter of next year for multiple reasons. As my personal rule of thumb, $20=1mo (at least), so I made sure to keep my current phone that I bought in 2021 for about $480 for at least 2 years.

Currently own a XZ1 Compact, running lineageos 20. Other than battery life over a long term, if you don't game on your phone flagship processors of 5+ years are still far from bad.

My phone is more than two years old. I'm using an ROG Phone 2 which was announced in 2019, made in 2020, and bought it in 2021 brand new with discount. I don't play games but I bought this phone for its front facing dual speakers which is best for media consumption. I don't update the software of my phone for fear of planned obsolescence. So softwarewise, it still works flawlessly smooth. The battery is huge and lasting, so I didn't notice degradation if there is any. My only concern is the screen. I already noticed some signs of yellowing (burn-in). Initially, I planned to use this phone for 5 years at least, but due to its screen I think I will replace it next year if I cannot bear the yellowing. So that makes 3 years of usage.

                          7 months old (galaxy a03s)

Still using 7 years old iPhone 7 128GB since release. Will keep using it as long Apple provide security update.
Might be the longest phone ever use after switching from Windows phone Nokia Lumia 930 decide to stop provide support

I will keep using it even it doesn't give os update anymore, as long as it still run most app in playstore then would be fine for me. This modern phone are keep losing multimedia feature such as audio jack & sd card. They're no longer attractive to "update" from older phone.

I have a Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G. I'll try to keep using it till custom ROMs are present and supported for it. New phone don't have the Telemacro camera as well as good processor in a similar price range.

I bought a new, in box mate 30 Pro in late 2020 and it still holds up pretty well. I've treated my phone bad enough to the point it should file a restraining order

I live in SEA... here it's very easy to sell old phone.
There were plenty of small second hand phone shop.

So, I won't use my phone for far too long, because I can easily recycle (sell) it.

My current phone is RN 10 5G which is over 2 years old now, entering next March it will be 3 years at the same time the security patch ends. But Xiaomi is still providing HyperOS updates for this phone so I can use it for more than 1 year if I haven't upgraded. Maybe I will upgrade next year, 2-3 years is a good time to upgrade... I used my previous phone for 4 years.
