DBS, 29 Oct 2023I have a Galaxy S23. Bought it a couple of months ago. How... moreMan they really need to bring the sub 6 inch phones again. I haven't bought a phone in years because how awfully bulky gigantic they have become. And I'll not buy a new phone till companies finally make a normal sized phone instead of the usual stupid enormous bricks they launch all the time

i have nova 3 almost 4 years and i will change the battery and keep it

I have a Galaxy S23. Bought it a couple of months ago.
However, I absolutely hate the phone. It's enormous, the camera is garbage thanks to the crap post-processing, and I really need the expandable storage and the headphone jack.
So I went back to the S10e. Which replaced my S7, after I had an also horrible experience with the S9 that ended up with me going back to the S7.

So my next phone will be the first one to come out that meets my requirements: normal size (sub-6"), good camera, good software experience, no hardware missing.
Until then, the S10e continues to serve perfectly. I don't care about updates anyway. And if I need to use something that requires a more modern phone, I can always take the S23 out of the drawer where I threw it.

I don't like trading my phones in. The transfer process between devices is hell on Android, not to mention if it fails and you lose data. Also, you may lose features or feel crazy if something changes but you can't quite put your finger on it.

My current phone is from 2022, and until Samsung gets the Ultra line in shape, I won't be upgrading anytime soon.

After a year using Redmi Note 11, decided to switch because of buggy MIUI and needing more performance. Got myself a vivo iQOO Neo7 SE and was satisfied with everything it offers. Will use it for at least 2 years hopefully!

My oldest phone is mi4c, though it's still alive, performance wise, ot doesn't hold up to today current task. The other one is Poco F1, that's still superb even to these days. Thanks to development community, it's promised to run android 14

I usually keep a iPhone for two to three years. I used to keep my Android for a year. I either get a budget Black Friday special or a year old Motorola. Now I have Pixels and Galaxy S phones so they are used for two years with large storage.

6 golden years. Why? Because I still use a Nokia 8 from 2017 and it works just like the day I bought it!

I only buy flagship phones so my current one is going well for about 4 years. It's time to change tho because it shows it old age in heavy gaming and such apps

I've been using the OnePlus 7 Pro since August 2019. I'm still amazed by its beautiful full-screen display, the cool pop-up camera, and the super-fast charging. I'm not sure which phone I should get next based on what I like about my current one.

I once asked a poll "why do you use a $1000 phone in day to day when a $100 phone can do it too?"

This is an interesting poll too.

Current phone Samsung Galaxy F54 5G and its 20 days old

Mills, 29 Oct 2023Old flagship like Note 9? Yea, no. Note20 Ultra 5G is better.Note 20 is when Samsung was already trying their hands at removing features, and it still costs like 400-500$ if you shop around for one.

Note 9 is dirt cheap right now. I'm not saying you should buy a Note 9, but what I meant is that you get better ROI out of old flagships than from newest ones.

Not to mention, you save yourself from dealing with Exynos/SD888/888 Gen 1 disaster.
