        Anonymous, 31 Oct 2023Its about time. Google need to remove sideloading.Lol if you don't want some features that doesn't mean others are also like you! it's android (an open source and open community system) not IOS. If you really want a close system that you cannot do anything other than what your company decides to allow you to do then switch to IPhone!

          HyperionBurn, 31 Oct 2023why are so many people hating on this feature? im curious lolBecause they’re kids that think they’re power user just because they sideload emulators and pirated games on their phones. They actually have no clue about tech, and the fact that this is optional.

              Nice feature. Someone said it's not new, so Android has had blocking to protect against malicious USB-C cables?

                Anonymous, 31 Oct 2023Auto blocker doesn't protect my device, it protects Sa... moreSamsung's device protection (backed by McAfee) scans "during" the installation of apps. That's why it takes longer /slower to install an app when compared to others. Also it scans apps daily.

                Check device protection settings if you don't know.

                  Nothing new. Android have it for years.
                  And will not block advertising on every app, site etc.
                  If you go somewhere you shouldnt you get malware anyway nothing will helps you.

                    You can turn it on and off so what's the problem? If you charge your phone on the subway or bus you should turn it on, if you want to sideload an app, you can turn it off. Seems like it will help too if you use Wifi away from home.

                            @samsung

                            Why you just put iOS inside your next smartphones and keep ande'roid users in peace doing what they want with other brands ???

                              does it also allow you to lock greymarketed phones? lmao samsung you are losing the trust of everyone with each passing day no wonder why people hate you now more than ever

                                why are so many people hating on this feature? im curious lol

                                  One more bloatware to remove with adb.

                                    "They want to destroy sideloading to preserve Google's monopoly" The vast majority of Android users just want a cheaper phone, and will never sideload. I sideload, but I recognize that 98% of people don't. This feature also makes sense as people who don't sideload may be more tech illiterate, meaning they actually need this. Just don't enable it lol, or disable it if it comes on by default. It's a good feature.

                                      I will just keep it disabled. No issues at all.

                                        Sideloading is a big part of why I use Android.
