Heck, some of the bugs remain unsolved despite the updates. That's why I flashed a custom ROM in it, even going deGoogled. The only reason why I don't do it anymore is because the motherboard of my Poco X3 Pro got badly fried. Nowadays, I'm looking at older OnePlus or Sony phones to go back into deGoogled custom ROM flashing.

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2023Why are brands so against you taking control of your own phone? It's the same reason why almost all smartphone brands remove the headphone jack and microSD card slot on non-budget smartphones. It's all about the ecosystem, which means big profit in return, simple as that.

All I see are Xiaomi phones with at least a Snapdragon 7 series SoC, including under the Poco sub-brand. Anything below it is a stroke of mere luck.

So, how do one root his phone, when bootloader unlock is not allowed?

Really really bad move i only buy Xiaomi devices to unlock and play with it custom rom etc... bad move

I have a question. Does unlocking bootloader not affect the security of financial/banking apps? Will it pass safetynet? Because nowadays updating my banking apps (some) would even require me to disable developer options before it could start/open these particular apps.

Xiaomi trying to imitate Huawei. They will lose small amount of customers because of this decision.

The geeks who unlock bootloader are very few (around 1%) compared to total number of dumbs who use miui/hyperos.
