Hummus , 13 Nov 2023They already have.. from a long time ago.China haters need to update their info. It's pathetic to see them ramble like this when they have 24/7 access to the internet. Just like Chinese people do with supposedly banned services like Google and facebook.

I still see lots of Huawei users, even new ones, willing to do the effort of living with GMS work around or totally getting rid of google apps.
    Websites exists. Do not trap yourself in self limiting belief of an app-only world started by Apple.

      Now it's exactly iOS on the android side. Pathetic.

      I'll just hope it'll die like Windows Mobile.

And check a lot of forums like Quora to see Chinese and foreigners freely using western platforms even with VPN. And nobody is arresting them.

            Huawei was already struggling to convince customers to switch to an OS which has no official GApp support, they'll drop the ball with this one if they want to expand this through the globe

I'm sure there are replacements for some basic apps, but the more niche apps, games, and tools will be forever gone. They think they can be iOS.

                          What are they doing??? This is an extraordinarily bad move for Huawei. App support is the lifeblood of an OS. They think they can Thanos snap half of them out of existence while offering nothing new. They are not shooting themselves in the foot, they are shooting themselves in the face.

                            All they need to do is offer devs in their platform relaxed sale ratios compared to other stores to become an attractive alternative.

Especially when ... moreAndroid is like emulator , HarmonyOS has better optimizations, there have been alot of battery tests and Game tests that edge out with HarmonyOS , Its for China mostly as well so they don't require gms. Its not the same, and i hope its not the same, Cuz we need OS like ios , direct and not an emulator.

                                        Maybe it will become the second largest OS after android.
                                        Or perhaps if Russia, the arabs and other want to use Harmony, it wlll be even larger than Android
