Because if you did you wouldn't be talking about nits and pixels but rather how creamy image reproduction is when you watch images and videos on it, especially animated features.
And trust me you would be noticing it cause I have iPhone Instagram users who are absolutely clueless about color science or display properties telling me how colors look good on my phone when I take a picture of them. No Samsung display can come close to such creamy reproduction, Samsung image on display is like infused digital boost of saturation, vividness and high contrast.
When it comes to screen brightness 1IV/V has one of the highest sustainable brightness right now. That means brightness in manual mode which can hold the brightness level infinitely unlike auto brightness that is very time limited.

What about:
- Night photo (not manual, auto!)
- Bring back the notification LED
- Telephoto lens on the Xperia 5
- Super Macro mode on the Ultrawide lens
- Quad-DAC
- Stop regression from the II series basic camera app (?!) It doesn't make Pro app "pro".
- Sony's own Album app
- Allow multiple audio sources
SUPPORT:
- Port new apps and software features from newer Xperia
- 4~5 years of OS updates & security
Price:
- Pricing the phones correctly, Sorry but youre not Apple/iPhone and Samsung/S-Ultra series. Example in price of Xperia 5 V you can get Honor Magic 5 Pro

[deleted post]For "what they offer" they didn't worth the Costs.
I don't throw hates on any brand but their worth in relation to my needs, determines who takes my money
Don't get me wrong here, I prefer Apple for it's cool and easy photography features plus the easy OS but it's incomplete to me that I can't just bear after spending much on it.
Then Sony always gets my praise for been great in the industry, improving so much techs other than phones but very poor when it comes to the mobile world competition. (seriously they made Apple great, but they aren't enjoying the juice they made).
A true old timer here on this site can assemble my words and pick out my point of view... Not just arguments, give a good point of reasoning or probably a straight proof rather than just throw hate on a brand like Samsung.

Have xperia 1 II, xperia 1 III, Xperia pro-i and xperia 1 V. Software is much better than Samsung.
I also have Samsung s23+ and IPhone 14 Pro Max.
Please don't lie about sonys Software (it's clean android)

Great thing, but editing is what's popular today.
Hope they don't forget that too while they invent something minority will use.
AI can help improve photography quality too.
Colors with Bayer filter were always somehow guesswork, all depends on how is tech used.

Reminds me of the Leica Q11-P with Content Credentials. Wonder if Sony will use that standard or will they have their own standards. Probably the former, possibility of the latter. Well only time will tell.

I bet you have no solid proof of this, probably it's your personal experience.... But if you have the Ca$h buck$ and really want to know much about Samsungs then, I think the story will be different entirely.
You don't have to believe me on this, but I will tell you something, I don't rely much on reviews, I grab what I want (switching from one brand to another) and see if it matches my daily tasks.
TB frank, Apple can't match my daily tasks, due to too many security issues here and there, alot of restrictions, I prefer a low end $150 device compared to iphones. (I'm not just speaking, I'm saying this from experience. My last device b4 this was the iphone 12)
