The next Sony Xperia Pro is rumored to have a rotating camera ring

The ring will give you manual control over zoom, aperture and focus, just like on a real camera.

Anonymous, 18 Dec 2023The 6.9" 4K C9 panels from Boe say otherwise. That rumor came out even before V generation was released. Supposedly such display went into production but just because its 4K it doesn't mean it was Sony bound. And no one knows if quality was up to par or not for whatever it was intended. Anyway that rumors is more than year and a half old by now.

    Regardless, I think they did the right thing because producing in-house displays would be a financial burden to both themselves and consumers

                Wht would they add more and more buttons and dials to peo cameras if one screen would do the job?
                Panasonic DMC-CM1 phone has rotating controller and it makes use of the phone as a camera much better to use with manual/semi-manual modes.

Yes, it's nice to have an array of settings and controls in a manual/pro mode, but being able to shoot good-looking photos straight out of the pocket is of paramount importance.

This ring thingy is something nobody asked for and something that isn't a must-have on a phone. It's marketing, a selling point, to attract customers who will say "Damn that's cool". And yeah, it sounds cool and all, but.... literally, there is no need for it, just like with other "innovative" stuff that came through the years. Some were really innovative and useful, some are just there to show off, and some are there because they don't know what other "shiny" thing to add to their phones to attract customers.

                                      SONY video natural colour not fake like samsung viviid amoled. samsung never win any award best display since history of their galaxy phone. Their over saturated vivid tone colour is fake and over exposed.
