2024 and people still care about this.. it’s just a matter of preference.
If you love using ios, just buy Apple, if you love how android work, just buy android phones ..
Personally I used both and android as my daily driver.. ios as second or backup phone. I admit iphone 15pro max is too expensive and if you using last year or 2 year old apple devices, it still run the same ios version as ip 15 pro max and it will not affect your user experience. Why spend more for the same experience? Same thing can be said about android.

Apple knows how to nerf lower end products enough to make them viable but the Pro phones very desirable. Android manufacturers just can't afford to do that as that is just another market to gain sales, but Apple can do it cus Apple, there's no alternative to iPhones if you want ios so you need an iPhone. So yeah makes sense why people get Apple phones, they not only are good phones, they keep you in the Apple ecosystem and people who used lower end iPhones must have upgraded as well due to FOMO, additionally it has the brand value no other phone has. Even though Ultra phones cost close to the iPhone Pro Max, they're considered cheaper. There's that bit of value. But still, the amount of dominance in statistics is still mind boggling

Also, going to domestic suppliers is bad idea. Phone cant be premium this way.
