No one is saying that apple users are dumb. But because of their extreme love for apple, it causes Apple's devices to be extremely expensive for what they offer.

This will make Apple phones bricked faster and sooner with such policy and watchfull apple eye care to make everything working well and does not try to ruin Apple monetary eco friendly system where they rob everyone and act like an innocent.
Bet the Update 17,4 will have at least 5-10 mini updates to fix all upcoming bugs.

Remember: the whole corporation state, pretending to be democratic USA, was built by the rich and for the rich. That's why corporate lobbying in Senate is possible, and laws and regulation so often cater to rich people and big companies, instead of constitutional rights of their citizens. With the small exception of gun ownership where the two sides are happy to buy and sell as much as they can because 2nd amendment.
That's why you can be fired from your job in the morning with no notice, no time to look for a new job, no financial security - you just land on your ass on the street and they don't care. But try and do anything in reverse to the company, you won't be able to pay your lawyer bills, they'll just flood you with their lawyer money and you'll never stand a chance. Basic human rights are not applying there because the whole country is a money producing machine for the chosen few.
Why would you expect they'll start disassembling what is their own making and start destroying their money lifeline?

Apple punishing devs and users with their €0.50 fee per annual install after reaching a threshold solely because Apple has to follow EU regulations is buckwild, regardless of scale.
And yeah, I really want to see them enforce this on apps distributed from alternative app marketplaces. I am incredibly curious.
It's like absolutely no one has learned a thing from the Unity Engine fiasco.
Oh right, and there's still no sideloading.
Extremely disappointing move from Apple.

[deleted post]China has an awful government but I'm not sure whether the average Joe's decision relies on politics. Been eyeing the OnePlus Nord 3 for a while now, and while it is a Chinese phone, people will think "well yeah but iphones are also made in China"
