      I rather have MIUI or hyperOS updates once a year than these nonsense security every month.

                        Mine had screen issues, camera sensor was damaged (gray spots).
                        Still I waited few months to get one I wanted.

                          And xiaomi dont promise for Poco to have every month security update as they do like once over 2-3 months.

                          You basically expecting flagship experience from budget phones and are disappointed that you wont get it.

                          There are lots of places they cut cost so you can have good performance phone with low amount of money. The price of X5 5G when was released it beat most of the phones at the same price range

                          Never mind that i only know that the 3 OS update promise starts with 2024 year phones. I am not sure but i dont think even my F5 will get 3 OS updates. Cause when i made my research then there was no talk about it so i expected it to have 2 OS updates and i already have 1 so 1 is left

Promise was 3 year updates its only received 3 updates in one year. One was update to android 14. It's really embarrassing from xiaomi.

                              In this year 2024 Xiaomi talk about 3 years of OS updates for Redmi note series.
                              I after my 5 years of experience with my redmi phone i am already happy if F5 will end up on Android 15 as second OS update.

Maybe they are in a need for a new phone and are fed up on waiting when ever Xiaomi decides to release there flagship in there market or a global version they can buy from some online shop.

                                  Thing is that by the time Xiaomi release there global version it can have less options.
                                  For example Redmi note 12 Turbo come with option as 256GB storage and 16GB ram or 512GB and 1TB option of storage. That was renamed to F5 and there was only either 8GB ram or 12GB ram version as the storage was 256GB max to get with the phone.

                                  It's not always the same with the Xiaomi releasing in global same as in China. Once if i remember right was even cameras not with Leica branding for global market.

                                    Poco best , 06 Feb 2024You now what bootloader is locked on most phones. Now with ... moreYour talking that you have not got any updates since August so how is that you have HyberOS on the phone ? And we are not talking about most brands in here.
                                    Xiaomi had it as possible to unlock that also takes time. Now with HyberOS it's more difficult but it's not locked so you have no option to do it.

                                    So basically you dont even know about that and then say i dont know anything about phones. You had over 5 months time to unlock the bootloader to install new custom android on the phone and it was announced in advance that with HyberOS update it be a lot more difficult. And if you got the HyberOS update then you should at least have November security patch and not August.

                                    My HyberOS update on my F5 come with December security patch as the last update in December i got was with November security patch

                                    My only error is that i said X5 Pro as i for some reason remember it wrong from the comment as it was X5 5G your talking about but even with that you should be able to do it as it was with SD695 and not mediatek chip with what that is not possible.

                                        Finaly a real flagship is comming unlike a 24 Ultra by Samsung which only preted to be a flagship grade android phone but still have a very far and very long way to go compared to said 14 Ultra or Oneplus 12 etc.
