The phone would rely on FaceID as the front button is missing.

DaFink, 04 Mar 2024Well to be fair there is increased competition on the Andro... moreJust like every iPhone user, you too will debunk the specs war as something mostly irrelevant in the iPhone side, since of course, apple's legendary software optimisations are all it takes to drive their phones to top spot. But lemme tell you, it has always been about the specs, apple just arrives late to it

potato4k, 04 Mar 2024It's what happens when tech illiterate users commented... moreAlright then, explain why the ProMotion is a pro feature and not a base iPhone feature? I bet you don't even have an explanation for that
That's because even apple considers high refresh rate to be better. But that okay, potatoes don't have a clue about anything tech

USBc and iPhone 15 camera and we have a winner.

GAMIR3DH, 04 Mar 2024You can't control what people say...Did you just try it yourself? xD

Why don't they just use the iPhone 13, remove 1 camera and call it SE? They would have to have the iPhone 15 CPU inside so that they can offer 5 years OS updates and not irritate the iPhone 13 users....

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2024I don't think you have seen the image quality of Andro... moreThat is true. There are mid range phones that focus more on photos like the latest Realme 12pro+, Pixel A etc

Iphone14 may not have the best camera for photos on the market, but it is one of the quickest(no shutter lag) with the best video out of all mid rangers.

Yes having one camera only sucks, but if the main camera is as capable as it is on iphones(or Pixels),then its kind of a good tradeoff.

At this point the S stands for "special", as in "special children". Single lens, fat notch, 60 Hertz? What year is it again? Apple isn't known for being generous, infamous for it even, but this is still just embarassing.

                  We need an ultrawide!

potato4k, 04 Mar 2024It's what happens when tech illiterate users commented... moreWell to be fair there is increased competition on the Android side, so I can understand the proliferation of specs that comes with the need to compete and stand out. After all Apple needs only fear losing customers to Android, but for an Android oem, then that isn’t a win unless they come to your particular brand of Android specifically.

For Apple the situation is different, they don’t have to compete in the same way, and their best selling smartphone model, which just so happens to also be the best selling model of any smartphone (even now) still has 60hz displays. So I can understand this from a business perspective.

What I don’t get is this ‘once you see 120hz you can never go back’ type mentality. I went 120hz and find it very easy to go back anytime I want. For some it’s going to be a bigger deal than others, but evidently there are many out there for who this isn’t a big deal at all.

There are those who post on this site though who think that because a spec point is important to them, it has to be for everyone else as well.

potato4k, 04 Mar 2024It's what happens when tech illiterate users commented... moreYou're ignorant if you think that a refresh rate at 120 Hz isn't better than a refresh rate at 60 Hz.

Don't comment on this, if you prefer bezel instead of notch.

                              Remember, don't comment.

They only see the spec on paper and they consider anything with a bigger number to be better. That's why you see Android OEMs are pushing specs like 108MP camera, triple camera (but using useless macro/depth sensor), high refresh rate (but non variable or incompatible with most apps), etc. Their customer segment falls easily for those marketing tricks.

rosesarerosie, 04 Mar 2024Enjoy ur single camera for $500+ 😂😂😂To be completely honest, if this is the camera hardware of Iphone 14, it destroys the android cameras(especially video) of 500$ mid range phones. Let me remind you that most mid range devices at this price point cant even shoot 4k 60fps video.

I mean, most Chinese companies in low/mid range put a lot of cameras(including the useless macro)just for marketing reasons. Only the main camera is actually usable.
