Reasons to move to another OS;
1. No ability to switch to classic style for quick settings.
2. No SOT.
3. Not allowing to change default lancher.
NEVER AGAIN XIAOMI

Last time i did a factory reset on my Pixel 5a the system file size was almost 15GB.

Xiaomi HyperOS is a new, more polished version of MIUI with some performance improvements and additional features, especially when it comes to AI. While it retains the familiarity of MIUI, it boasts a lighter design and promises smoother performance over time.

If I knew, I wouldn't have updated to HyperOS. I have feelings I'm not controlling the phone anymore.

This is pure bad engineering adds nothing to kernel, user or security space land but the opposite current overlay decrease security and that is a bad thing

Received The New HyperOS Stable Beta Update for my Xiaomi 12 Pro on 5th March'24 in India, ever since the update there has been a drastic battery drain on normal usage, the MIUI14 provided 16-20hrs battery backup, but the new HyperOS provides currently only 8-10hrs battery backup. Previously had to charge my device once or sometimes twice a day, since the HyperOS update charging requires 2-3 times a day.
The installed applications still run in the background and drains battery when turned on "Restrict Mobile Data & WIFI, Restrict Background Activity & Focus Mode".
App drawer has a glitch of randomly displaying any 2 apps twice in the grid and disappears after 2-3times scrolling up-down or by restarting the device.
Hope Xiaomi gets a fix for these issue's soon in the Stable update.

Anonymous, 15 Mar 2024poco f5 still have classic style on hyperOSReally?
Maybe the availability of classic and new control center is exclusive to newly released Xiaomi devices.
I don't like the classic one sadly.

I have the Chinese ROM on my Xiaomi 13Ultra. The reason for having the Chinese ROM is that I wanted the extra stuff that comes with HyperOS which I think is missing with Global version. Like what's happening worldwide, Chinese brand cars are beginning to enter the country and the "CarWith" link designed specifically for each car brand works great linking the car without much hassle unlike android auto. I'm still finding out things on the OS I never knew before & it's nice for it to keep me surprised...the integrated control of house devices is another great change from normal android.

rizki1, 15 Mar 2024Looks like I need to change phone to experience this...Not much point in upgrading just for a new software version that doesn't bring any major differences. In my experience I don't find any real improvement beyond aesthetics. I think it makes more sense to upgrade for hardware reasons like if you want a better camera, or faster processor, or better screen or better battery life or a combination of hardware factors

Meh, MiUI15 is still the same MiUI. Changing the name doesn't change the actual core software. Bugs still aplenty. On the tablet, HyperOS still exhibit bugs where apps are bugging out when there's an orientation change. If something simple like this is still not fixed, everything else is just lipstick on a turd.

Rosso, 15 Mar 2024People complain about Xiaomi's software are funny, bec... moreXiaomi's software is alright. Having used my Mi 11 running the latest MIUI, it's pretty stable, and there's nothing that annoys me about using it. The only bad thing is it won't let you set a default launcher, however there are easy workarounds to that.
But I'm still an AOSP/Pixel fan and eventually switched over to a custom ROM.
