I also move from Xiaomi to Samsung afte... morePeople complain about Xiaomi's software are funny, because it's all people who used 200 euro phones at best.
Guess what, I have a 12x, it was 600 euros, it had less bugs (I encountered two bugs total in year and a half of use) then my mother's 150 euro Samsung......almost like cheaper devices are less stable, who would have thought.
Fact is, Xiaomi's software is nowhere near as bad as people claim, it is indeed behind equally priced Samsung's, at least on high end, but usually you get better hardware at same price.

Running hyper OS since a month but Xiaomi has removed two key android features
1) Screen-on time option
2) Lockdown mode option
And I find it very inconvenient. May not consider hyper OS for m next phone

I also move from Xiaomi to Samsung after 6 years using Xiaomi.
Xiaomi phone may be only good for schoolboy that still asking money from parents to buy a phone. But for hard earned money, better to buy phone with good software and long software support, like Samsung/iPhone or maybe Pixel.

I can confirm that phones released with MIUI and updated to HyperOS definitely retain the feature. The question is why remove it from new models? It's yet another reason to avoid Xiaomi unless you're flashing a custom ROM on it, but then the camera performance suffers.

Interesting, thank you. 2 questions:
1- what about Project Mainline support ? This effort to distribute updates of core OS components essentially like apps not via full OS updates is nice, but very optionnal and very modular. Does Xiaomi support it not at all - a little bit - a good bit - a lot ?
2- I recently switched to Motorola, Vanilla Android kinda sucks compared to MIUI, but Ready For's ability to have a virtual phone, running a different app than your phone, on your Windows PC is really, really nice. Does Xiaomi have plans for video out, or for this type of app-based Windows integration ?

Shame its totally bricked my Xiaomi 13 pro. I understand that some devices were not meant to receive hyper os and now I have device that I can't use.
Xiaomi aren't exactly going out of their way to help me either

Recieved hyper OS update on my phone a month ago and running fine so far
However two features are missing that are very important to me
1) SoT
2) Lockdown mode
These are available on all android phones, except hyper OS
I can maybe let go the SoT feature but lockdown mode being absent is a problem. I might not consider my next phone to be a Xiaomi for this reason. Hope they fix it
