They should launch the A version alongside the base and the Pro versions. It doesn't make sense to launch them 7-8 months later because they are then old on arrival, and the price of the base version drops which makes the A version cost almost the same as the base version. Why would anybody buy 8a if they can buy 8 for almost the same price?

The rest of the points you made i would ask how much will that happen in anyone's lifetime ?
Never mind that you can have usb flash drive that is like 400mb write speed with the usb 4.3 and type-c plug to use for phones then it be a lot easier to move files. What will it do to have it all moved to SD card in the phone as it's same action you need to do in the phone and both take time.
Never mind that if you fill the storage in phone then the phone gets slow too

That's not the rarest option, that in some desolated parts of the world you probably won't get a competitive upload speed for your data transfer. Because there might be no free WiFi, especially when you're on route. And no 5g of course, its 4g_lte in best case.
Or going to scientific expedition to... well, raid some tombs.., why not, after all. There you'll be definitely in need of storage, the more the better.

What good is all those years if the Soc at launch is already way behind the other flagship Soc's., unless you don't mind be using a device with 4-5 years slow and lagging as crazy...even custom roms won't save it.

Pixel series was made with 51% parts from Samsung.
So the increasing price is acceptable. Also, good income for duo Google and Samsung.

This is not intended to be a gaming monster or media consumer device, it's just there for you to help everyday life.

That’s exactly what we don’t need. I’d prefer the a to get consecutively cheaper until it reaches a price below $300. But I think it was said Google will merge the a series and the normal Pixel so it makes sense in that regard.
