      now that the a55 is officially out, based on specs, would you get the samsung a55 or the oneplus 12r? I am torn between both phones. do you think the specs are better on the oneplus 12r versus the samsung a55?

                  The A55 seems much improved with smaller bezels, but now the A35 doesn't make sense at all. It's great that there is finally no more notch on the A3x series, but with the same chipset as the A54, that phone is better, and with the Dimensity 1080 the A34 is better as well.

                    I would argue Oneplus Nord 3 is a lot better for slightly lower price.

                        A lot of other factors come into play. Like brand reputation, camera, display, basically anything.

                            480 euros for no telephoto, you can't really get a telephoto in this price bracket anyway. And only 8/128. Not small or large, quite the sweet spot.

                            I'd have to see how E1480 performs before obsessing over it. OP12R still has my favor with 8 Gen 2 and LTPO display.

                                True enough. It matter a lot in this day and age.

                                If stock android were better or favoured by majority, pixel may be number 1 best selling by now. But in reality only small number people use motorola/sony/pixel.

                                Because nobody really knows that Google makes phones. If you walk up to someone and ask them if they have a Google Pixel, they'd ask you, "what the hell is that!" Samsung, most popular Android OEM doesn't use stock android, leading to the downfall in popularity.

                                Yea. I like your logic, however. Not many people use Moto, Sony or Google Phones. Either Apple or Samsung in the US. Justice for OnePlus and Google! Moto too I guess.

                                  Mmm asking for more money for tiny changes. The A34 had a potentially better chipset than the A35.

                                  I think maybe to wait for other midrangers around the corner. Moto, HMD, Pixel 8a, Nord 5.
