in fact they are so influential newer chifi brands after them started using anime branding

Hn, now that I see it it's pretty much like xiaomi/transsion in phone
xiaomi was the original value brand but nowadays other cheaper brand that copies their strategy win in that department
still they have a hit or two that's critically acclaimed, but other brands? not so much

anyway the soc stuff is probably right, they're gonna use midrange chip or maybe a dimensity...
but at least the camera looking good with what seems to be a bigger lens so 0% of macro camera here

    It's funny to see that most commenters here are keep talking about the chipset, while it's NOT the main focus of this phone. I repeat, chipset is NOT the main focus of this phone.

It will be v... moreActually most DaCs are already good enough, most problems (Especially loudness) com from regulations and bad developing. I had this problem on my Note 13 pro and when i installed an equalizer, the sounds is unrecognizable, both in terms of loudness and quality. even speakers sound like iPhone's with the right tweaking.

In addition, it had water resistance. These companies are just making excuses now, Samsung was goated back in the day, I remember being astounded by the Note 7 and its water resistance even though it had a stylus. These guys had the solutions a decade ago and are now making new problems to make more money.

              JrJ, 23 Apr 2024It's wrong from point of energy and source consumtion view.my dude we use up energy randomly each and every day for no reason and waste it, imagine 8 billion people keeping their fans and lights on for no reason for an hour, how much energy did they waste? Then think about how much R&D Apple, Samsung, etc. do. They make more failed prototypes than Moondrop has sold proper products. And don't forget American V8 engines and supercars/hypercars, those are the ultimate waste of energy. Only for the rich and waste tons of fuel to drive and a lot of time, man power and stuff was needed to build it. In the grand scheme of things, compared to the unhealthy stuff China and India do in a lot of factories, this is a speck of sand on the face of the Earth

                But LGs still have four of them in each phones and high end DAPs also have that much. So they'd probably do the same for the sake of it.

                          But checking it out, that was 2 times thicker than average phones we use nowadays. And bezels also helps to pack more things I assume. I agree with that they just don't want to add 3.5 jack, not that they couldn't, but this Unihertz phone is really not a good example. Imo X5 max, even without fp is the best example for if they want to, they can! That phone was art.

A better option is to buy a midrange samsung phone and a usb c dac/amp like shanling ua4 or tanchjim space

Regulations, idiot developers...the point is eve when you have seemingly bad sounding dac, you can make it great with the right software.

                                      Don't expect too much in regard to sound. It will be very difficult to include quality dac and amp section while maintaining the size requirements of a phone. While the SQ will be exponentially better than wireless stuff, $100 dacs like ibasso dc04 pro and e1da 9038s/d will most likely give better SQ.
                                      But, on the current scheme of things, I see this as an absolute win. I also hope this a huge success and moondrop will continue with further generations of this device.

                                        The EU should step in to make audio jacks universal again there's no reason it shouldn't exist
