LOL. I won't complain and I agree with the banning! When I went to China last year, I could not use google services, FB and YT (because it's not allowed)! Did Google and FB made a big deal out of it? I applaud India for making the first step in banning some suspicious apps made in China -- one of them is Tiktok. FYI, Tiktok failed to respond to the questions on privacy and security in India, and in 2021, the banning was finalized. Good Job, Indian Government!

They have 0 idea of what they're talking about. They just want it banned because it's hard to censor what's said on it and 2, it's also Chinese. What the hell is wrong with them? What propaganda are they yapping about??

They don't realize that most of TikTok users are from North America (220M with USA and Mexico). China gets a different version of TikTok, named Douyin. They just want Americans to use US social media like Twitter (not X), FaceBook, Instagram and whatever so they can easily censor.

To sum it up in a sentence: Why compete when you can ban it.

[deleted post]Because health insurance companies and arms manufacturers won't let them change anything so they use this nonsense to distract their constituents.

You right. But it's also true we can't trust China. China is like a snake. TikTok should have been banned a long time ago.
