The Ring will be pricey, but that's not surprising when it comes to cutting edge tech. The subscription is a bit of a surprise, though.

    I hope consumers around the world start to see this scam around the subscription thing that is going on with all types of things. Yesterday I downloaded a simple equaliser just to test something and I couldn't believe my eyes! 30 euros per month just to use a damn equaliser app!! This has to stop and people have to start to boycott this kind of behavior.

            Also Samsung: Got the ring? Great! Now pay 10 USD a month to use that device?

            Just like Humane AI Pin, this will fall off. Why do you need a 25 USD sub on top of paying an absurd ~800 USD price tag. You can buy a iPhone 14 Pro who can do the same and MORE than that junk.

                Having to pay for a monthly subscription just so you can use your brand new physical device has to be the biggest rip-off in the world of tech.

                    Nope, I'm out if the subscription is required or you own biological data is behind a pay wall like in the Oura case. Also how they will justify this when the GW4-6 don't have any monthly plans? Will this also affect the GW7?

                      Ok, i'm out. Car brands, electronics etc found out another way to get more money from consumers. Despite that, the acquisition prices don't come down (in fact, go up) as to compensate the existence of a monthly fee. So, consumers should be out of this.

                            Literally lost me as soon as "subscription" was even mentioned. Would even forget about using a smartwatch if a subscription is in the mix.

                              Disgusting. Subscriptions for most things should honestly be illegal. This is already £300, and you want a subscription on top of it? Go to hell where you belong.
