    That's why I never purchased any device from HTC after my desire HD, they always find some in acceptable excuses to said "Sorry but your device will not get the next update" never use HTC even if they become #1

      I suppose this means that HTC J will face the same outcome given its' hardware is nearly identical to One S.

      Mofos!!!!!

                  This is a really Bad News for all people looking to buy an hTC Android Phone!Plus this is not the first time this company is doing this! hTC Desire SV was launched with the promise of Jelly Bean soon after launch but it has never happened! One X and One X+ owners in India no matter few (thanks to sensible pricing) get to see steep price cuts rather than quicker Android Updates? hTC One the best ever android yet the slowest to receive updates? hTC butterfly still in a price zone no one would think off buying and no news of updates on that? hTC Butterfly S announced and Specs give heart ache to people who bought One? Look at the Range of handsets on offer from hTC in India and one can only see an over confident messed up Company which is just coming up with more reasons for customers to never consider there product even though it's the best and the most capable around! Why because once you buy it, just quietly regret it! Hope they either wake up and clear this mess or just die slow death! Simply no lessons learnt till date!

                      AnonD-62795, 02 Jul 2013Because IOS is a very light and simple system, it would run... moreThats not the reason, reason is optimization and the fact that iOS and apple hardware are perfectly optimized together.

                      Its something what android phones cant get, thats why android devices need a lot more power to get same smooth experience.

                            Luckily I chose Sony. Though it is still on 4.1, it received Xperia Z's features and there's a planned update next week. (Already three updates in 5 weeks)

                              Android = Nexus or GS4

                              otherwise go for iOS

                                Ios, 02 Jul 2013The main reason why i left android is because of its update... moreBecause IOS is a very light and simple system, it would run on some peoples watches.

                                Android is a heavier beast made for proper hardware.

                                        And this is why I don't buy HTC products..
                                        HTC are the reason I don't use Android anymore.

                                        Apparently my HTC desire (1Ghz, 576mb RAM) couldn't handle Gingerbread when their HTC desire C (600Mhz, 512mb RAM) could handle ICS.
