Dont really see the need in arguing to be honest. HTC for me are brilliant. I have never had any issues apart from minor ones, which have all been overcome, and the old saying is 'why fix something which isnt broke' ... ive had many pleasant years and will look to continue that in the future as long as HTC continue to do what sets them apart from the rest... And that is keeping that great deal of thought going into the design and build quality! (besides apple... but then again thats a different story for another day)... anyway look at htc zoe... its awesome and exclusive - everybody can clearly see that HTC are doing their best to reclaim their share of the market but its difficult when they have over-critical and uneducated fanboys constantly criticising them!

HTC's problem IS their handset design and their stubborn usage of the Beats Audio branding. Years of financial and market share losses havent taught this stubborn company a thing.
The smartphone market IS the mobile phone market today. Dads, moms, grandfathers and grandmothers all use smartphones today. Keep designing your phones for 17 year old boys, HTC. We'll see you at Bankrupty.

I've had two so called high end HTC devices, obsolete after 12 months with no further updates due to hardware issues????? Perhaps they need to sack their R&D team and start again.

really... I was an HTC fan once upon a time; but lost all faith in them after realizing that they are not interested in retaining their existing customer base(by providing OS updates to their phone)...
i'm an xperia guy now... they gave timely updates from andro 4.0 to 4.1 to 4.2...
and btw my HTC DESIRE is still stuck on andro 2.2 while Galaxy S; released the same period, is on Andro 4.0 already!

There are a few things you missed out on thi... moreCould not have said it any better myself, you also forgot about timely updates, and if you are going to bring your flagship phone to market, do it with JB 4.2.2 as did Samsung with the S4.
I have owned more HTC phones than Samsung, the Incredible being my first Android phone, but once HTC went away from micro SD cards "yes they do matter to me and millions of others" and removable battery "same as above", I left and bought a device "S3" that had those FEATURES, I did not buy the new device because it's name is Samsung, I could care less what manufacturer name is on it, as long as said manufacturer "you listening HTC" gives me what I want for MY MONEY, I don't buy phones because of a name brand "that is what ten year olds do", I buy it because it suits my needs, and will only see my hard earned money when such needs are met. No wonder HTC executives have left by the droves, they saw the writing on the wall. Is the HTC One a fantastic device, it is, but without a micro SD card expansion slot and removable battery, I could care less about an aluminum body phone that I will dress up with a case anyway "as most people will", yes you will get those ten percent that will like to keep it naked "till they drop it and dent that sleek looking metal body". Again, I don't buy a phone for it's looks, but for what it has to offer me in features and longevity, not how shiny it looks and at the same time is missing key features, like Micro SD card and removable battery, also timely updates.

[deleted post]Samsung do pay off people. Especially those cave-people at Apple who are currently living in a cardboard box behind a run down chippy.

He is either incapable of using or uncomfortable with different word usage in English and feels threatened by it. On topic, Yes, HTC has consistently had some of the best designed phones in the industry. It's their software that seems to be keeping them back though.

They ditch their updates like addicts ditch rebahs. They try but in the end just can't deliver. The latest fiasco being with the One S. No wonder they're losing customers left and right.

Htc phones are very much expensive than other companies if we compare all specs with others and also no sale and service center in many countries... Htc has to re think about these two matters..

4 ultrapixels is a deceptive marketing...it is still 4 million pixels or 4 megapixel camera..they would be successful if they released a 12 ultrapixel camera...They should learn their lesson or decline will be their fate..

In fact, this is my normal, every day speech due to my line of work (in which politeness is required, too). And I have to say I prefer it to rudeness.
Let me even correct my first comment to you: I don't feel sorry for your childish behaviour, since it's clearly a result of your own preference.
