justasmile, 22 Jul 2024I meant mine, not yours.I know what you said, I dont see why I should care about the opinion of others when I'm here to share my own? Everyone has their own perspective of what is valueable or not, to blantantly dismiss that because you disagree is just silly.
I've seen you around enough, I agree with most of what you post, but I find your reactions to me incredibly childish.

justasmile, 22 Jul 2024How is 400 Euros reasonable for a phone with 2 OS updates a... moreI don't deny that that's really unsavoury, especially since I am an advocate for phones being updated for at least 7 years and preferably 10 years, but for a £400 phone, it's really good in almost all other aspects. The cameras are really good for the price class, the design is unique and eye-catching (it's got a metal back!!!!!), the battery life looks like it'll be good (since, you know, it's HMD, they optimise their stuff really well), it's easily repairable, the screen is great, the charging speed is at least better than non-Chinese brands, and the RAM is perfectly adequate. The Gorilla Glass 3 and the processor being a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 are also problematic, but at least the latter is only a minor sticking point when the rest of the device is really good, which cannot be said for most of the other phones that use this chip.

Instead of packing a regular phone in a permanant rectangular case, I would have rather appreciated a squared corner over then sore looking rounded corners.funny how they changed their name but still riding on the nostalgia ,just shows how competent the product is.

Secondly, no one says that optimisation is not important. EVERY company does that.

Go with your own opinion dude but dont be a toxic with it.
in a simple note, there is SOFTWARE and HARDWARE. Any superiority from one of them will be useless without optimization.
Optimized from both part is the most important thing as a whole package in the device.
