What's the clock speeds of the Big Core(s) running at to achieve this efficiency? Are they lower than the upcoming or existing connection? What's the fab process node being used?
How many transistors are there in total?
Is the pathways shortened and is the bandwidth widened??!
What is this 30% estimate measurement of efficiency coming from? What applications or functions?
Again all in a lab and refinemwnts and adjustments will be done. But the article doesn't give us much and has me asking more questions

This where the power will be utilized over a wireless connection to monitor or TV with external BT keyboard and mouse and possibly an external DAW & synthesizer or drum kit

1 month ago rumor that Oppo will launch the Buds 3 Pro supporting LHDC at 24/32-bit (I think), with 196kHz and at a maximum 2.1MBps bandwidth. And these had no in esr silicon tips and angled bettwe than the typical AirPods Pro design yo stay in better and VERY small like an earing!
But I don't know which phones ans chipswts support it aa it hasn't launched yet.

Yes Microsoft had an exclusive deal for Windows Arm to ONLY run on Qualcomm SoC's Sq1, Sq2 and SQ3.
That exclusivity expired in early January 2024. A year or more prior Qualcomm made the acquisition of Nuvia and kept their engineering staff and founders. Hence forth Snapdragon X Elite and the X debut very early on.
The entire industry for Arm with Windows support is behind but they had PLENTY of time to engineer and design and ready fans for building Arm SoC for laptop and desktop Windows. Linux was running on X Elite during testing and Linux runs on Arm like butter (Debian) and a few other distros.
Now NVidia AMD and others are looking diligently to bring theie own uniqueness of Arm SoCs to the market in the next 18mths.
Everyone is looking to NVidia since we're hoping an extension on the motherboard to still use external Video cards IS possible.
Apple's and Qualcomm's implementation doesn't allow for that and it's hurting for after initial release performance life after the first year or so.
Yes the PC is ubiquitous but it shouldn't be a simple home appliance that'll just stagnate and need replacing for better performance like we do our smartphones.

This is just too powerful but was never made for laptops that really need more power than smartphones. Now is the time for Windows laptops without using fans anymore with this SoC.

User. Hi., 09 Aug 2024You're right, but well, tech keeps getting better and ... moreThe problem is, Qualcomm and Mediatek keep releasing super ultra powerful fast SoC but the OEM still using old lowend SoC.. Lol
For example, OEM still using SD 685 and Mediatek G99 while the gap is so huuuuuuuuugeee with their flagship SoC.
Qualcomm and Mediatek should discontinue their midlow SoC and downgrade their older mid SoC to be lower class. The OS and apps becomes more heavier and heavier but the old and slow SoC still exist on the market.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and Dimensity 6080 should be the lowest end SoC for now.
