Nokia Q2 report: more Lumias sold, less money made

Like it or not, Nokia start to selling Lumias and attract people attention. This will not be easy, since out there are thousands of manufacturers making Android phones.
However is nice to see how people is trying WP and choosing Nokia, this is amazing too, looking that Android has Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony, etc, etc. and WP only have Nokia, HTC (just a few models) and other. iPhone is amazing too they are just against the entire market and actually they are doing a great job.
Nokia has the opportunity to still in business, if people don't like Nokia or don't like WP so be, Nokia also need trolls, they make it strong. With the release of Amber and the newcomers phones with quad cores and bigger screens, there will be a lots of changes. Good for Nokia.

Nokia is a dead company. Windowsphones are obsolete devices, no games, no applications, no updates. Feature phones of nokia will be replaced soon by low end devices of android. Market moves to android now. Bad news for Elop and nokia share holders.

moral of the story, Nokia invent alot, they are just crap at marketing it and letting people know they did it.

Samsung spent a lot of money on after-sales services and marketing, TV ads, etc, and they get massive profit in return.
many companies spent minimum to zero to after-sales services and marketing, so obviously they got nothing in return, but they didn't grow up and all they did is complaining.
BTW, since you mention Indonesia, here what i see in Indonesia's mobile market:
- Nokia is promoting their products heavily, they even created misleading ads (like make a false claim that Asha series is a "smartphone" while it's actually a featurephone). one thing to note, Nokia has the best after-sales service in Indonesia.
- Sony Mobile, previously known as Sony Ericsson, spent money on marketing (and lying that their companies is the same as Sony Corp.), but their after-sales services have very very bad reputation. so, most people would give a second thought before buying Sony's phones.
- LG is starting to make more ads and trying to fix their after-sales services. but it will take time until they get the result.
- and how about HTC? Motorola? other manufacturers? well... almost no such things as ads/marketing and bad after sales services, so you can't expect anything in return.
people are not stupid,
ok, they might be fooled by a good advertising,
but once they bought the aforementioned products and knows that those products and the services didn't meet their expectation, they won't buy it anymore.
i think that's why Samsung is doing fine in Indonesia,
their ads didn't contain false infos about their products and they have good after-sales services (next to Nokia).
other companies really should learn from Samsung.

Take 'Man of steel' - I think both Lumia 925 and 928 made an appearance :). Also I think that Nokia's is looking into perspective. They sell the phones with little or no profit just to attract customers. And this is all they need - to gain market share. The profits will come after.

Samsung can great n popular bcause " they Immitationing tehnic n super marketing ". Just see how they do in Indonesia or ASEAN countries. Their promo or other things are anywhere and like cake shops. No. 1 is popular n big screen for gaming gaming n aplicating, most people who are amateur users is always talking about aplications n chats, they do not/never care about quality or elegant.
Samsung's product are good n high perform' but it is not long life/boring n have not original idea.
Trust me! Samsung will make a phone like Nokia Lumia 1020 mix with Sony Experia Z
