So you don't need geometry to know that a 6.3" phone with 20:9 or 19.5:9 aspect isn't really compact next to a 5.9" or even a 6.1" phone with the same aspect ratio.

Omg people in the comments section seem to have forgotten elementary geometry.
Diagonal size means nothing. A Galaxy Note 4 with a smaller diagonal but squarish aspect ratio would have been more unweildy.
This is plenty compact and kudos to Google for fitting in a massive 4700 maH battery into this 6.3 in phone.
This is THE PHONE to get for small phone lovers !!

With you on this. I miss holding my Zenfone 8 with less than 70mm width & less than 150mm height and a more ergonomic design as opposed to all this flatness that has plagued these newer phones. Anyone who considers getting a 6.3" phone is not really looking for anything compact and would be better off just getting a 6.5"-6.7" phone because there are so many options to choose from across all price segments.

They don't understand that Apple are popular cus they have a different OS and a different fanbase and Google/Samsung got popular due to their own qualities. Now only a handful of people will buy these phones cus of marketing or the nearly 50% price cutting discounts of Samsung.
