    They could have won the fold race a very long time if they just listen to real users regarding the cover screen aspect ratio.

      Should be labelled as -> Pixel 9 Mediocre Fold, because it is 18 gram heavier than Z Fold6 and use midrange chip Tensor G4, also without dust resistance 👍

I would argue it is just as good, if not better and more versatile than iPhone cameras. Compare any iPhone with an A-series, then what you said might be true. But iPhone vs Ultra, it goes back and forth. If you said its video recording is not as good as iPhones, I might have agreed, at least that was the case until S23 Ultra. I haven't used the S24 Ultra extensively for videography to know how much it has improved on that front, but for Photography, it is great.

            Samsung is greatly behind in everything but software. Their approach has been to stagnate their hardware and refine their OS each generation and arguably, it works and will keep on awarding them the title for "Best foldable".

            However, the reason it works is because there is a total lack of competitive pressure in the european and american market. Samsung isn't forced to upgrade anything drastic about their devices because they don't need to. Keep making new ones and the software excuse will be enough to dominate sales. The most notable change in the entire Z fold line-up in the past 3 or 4 years has been the squared-off design. That's it.

            Now, to me it seems like you took my comments personally, and I want to ask you to please reconsider your position. You may use and enjoy Samsung products, but defending a massive corporation actively cutting corners and pushing prices higher (Not speculation, actually what they told investors) isn't gonna do you any good. If you like Samsung's products then you should be asking for more, you shouldn't be defending their strategy that's actively exploiting you to make more money.

                  Samsung lost the foldable development race 3 years ago, with Fold 3.
                  Nothing has changed ever since.

                  At least Samsung has the decency not to put mediocre midrange exynos chips inside their foldables, which are exclusively shipping with the best Snapdragons onboard. All that while Google is asking 2k for a device that ships with Tensor G4. The 4 stands for how many gens behind that chip is.

                  Then you have Google naming their new foldable "9 Pro Fold" to mislead consumers into believing it might (finally) carry 9 Pro cameras, but it doesn't. Even vanilla Pixel 9 carry better imagery hardware. Google didn't even solved the age old problem of having flagship cameras on a foldable.

                  Correct aspect ratio and flagship imagery on foldables were solved years ago by Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor, Vivo..

                  I really can't see the point of this paper.

                      real fact = the fold 6 camera bump design they make it look similar to XPERIA 1V.

Along with good battery life, performance and nice displays. Like they have a good product as a base. Samsung doesn't have great cameras and Google doesn't have great battery life nor great performance.

                        It's like they all suck but Apple sucks a bit less in the mobile market nowadays due to the slow but constant improvements they did. Samsung isn't doing improvements they're just changing stuff up.

                                      Pixel 9 Pro Fold is mostly a better phone other than the processor of course. Samsung needs to step up its game. Chineese brand foldable phones blew them out a long time ago.

                                        So it's better than Samsung because it has wider cover screen?
                                        Samsung makes the cover screen narrow because it wants users to use the main screen.
                                        Other brands encourage you the opposite.
