I feel bad for the Xiaomi/Redmi employees who probably love making cool tech but have to waste their time designing soulless e-waste like this

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2024-How many FPS do you got your device on the 3DMark test? ... moreIt's video decode/encode block are limited to 1080p30 and cpu is weak too with 8*a53 cores 🐌🐌🐌

Literally a downgrade in the chipset.

the latest sd on redmi , first sd 7** phone in the world :D gone are the days . kind of hard to innovate isn't it , xiaomi ?

            Poor specs, garbage 🗑️

And it can charge 45W!

It's getting really hard to overlook Transsion's efforts

                I don't like the design.

Itel S23+ comes with 8GB/256GB, FHD+ curved AMOLED display protected with GG5, decent main and selfie cameras for around 160 dollars on Aliexpress, while the expected price for Redmi 14C is roughly the same.

Xiaomi executives are probably laughing beforehand of those thinking to buy such bad phone like Redmi 14C. As you said, they used to be THE best option with their budget phones, but they are more interested in exterior aestetics, recycling old e-waste while focusing their relevant inovations to more expensive phones.

-60 FPS? Wow, that's very high! Do you have a high end device?

-No, it's 60 frames per minute (1 fps), the GPU is so weak that it can't even play a 1080p video without lag or graphical issues

(Seriously, these scores are actually real and represent the crappy GPU perfomance of the PowerVR GE8320 that low end Mediatek Helio chips use)

Remember when years ago, crappy entry level Samsungs and Motorolas that could barely run Android made people go and get a Redmi that would blow them out or the water

Now it's the Redmis that can barely run Android, and Xiaomi still has the guts to shove HyperOS on top of it.

It's 2010s Samsung all over again. Terrible hardware for the price, a bloated skin, and a billion variants of the same device with minimal changes.

                              Oppo Reno 12 FS's rival?

                                It's getting ridiculous.
Xiaomi used to be a price-performance champion even in their A and C phones.

Now we're getting phones that can barely run the OS, but need to have that flagship style camera island.

Give up. Give us a SINGLE camera, a 90Hz LCD with a hole punch, side mounted FP scanner, and an SoC that actually represents an improvement over the previous gen.

Otherwise, Transsion is eating Xiaomi's lunch in emerging markets, despite the relatively poor software support of Itels and Infinixes
