Edit: Never mind, I'm wrong. Hate that eMMC still exists at all, it's so unbearably slow. Thus, give it 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.1 or UFS 2.2 storage, 6GB of RAM on the base variant, and a Unisoc Tiger T616, and only then will I not call this phone e-waste.

I'm not calling it e-waste because it's low budget, I'm calling it e-waste because it's using an SoC that is too slow when better ones exist for the same price class of phone.

          Okay this is weird

            Usually I love these 2 tone colourways but this blue and silver one just looks unfinished. They should've either kept the sides neutral or made the rail match the backs design

And judging by the weight, the blue is normal plastic and the green is plastic leather, while black and purple are glass. So there‘s something for everyone. And that makes sense after even the ultra-cheap Redmi A3 went for glass/plastic leather as well. From the leaked image of the black variant, I assume that will be the case for Redmi Note 14 as well.

                            - the back is indeed glass on the purple and black models
                            - those weigh 211g, the green plastic leather back is 207g. The blue is 204g so it‘s most likely plastic. (13C was 192g and plastic on all models)
                            - Bluetooth 5.4 up from 5.3
                            Other dimensions:
                            Height: 171.88mm
                            Width: 77.8mm
                            Thickness: 8.22mm
                            13C: 168 x 78 x 8.1 mm

                              Also, I assume that the back is still made of plastic; it just has a "glassy" feeling to it.

                                      So the differences are
                                      - 6.88 inch 120Hz instead of 6.74 inch 90Hz (same brightness as before)
                                      - 5160mAh instead of 5000mAh
                                      - 13MP selfie instead of 8MP
                                      - different chipset though seemingly very similar in specs
                                      - and what looks like a glass back instead of plastic on some models?

                                        That Helio G81 Ultra and the base model's 4GB of RAM makes this e-waste. The base model should start at 6GB of RAM, which is still a bit painful to run Android with but at least manageable. Otherwise would've had zero complaints and would've said it's a great phone for the price range.
