Anonymous, 24 Jul 2013It got the concept of smartphones completely wrong.I mean, a smartphone is made for productivity, i.e., do a lot of the tasks a computer can do, while being portable. A computer OS is much, much, much better than any mobile OS ever made. It is complicated for a reason, so that the user gets as many features as possible. Android is trying to emulate that somewhat. If smartphones are to really replace computers, then their OSes must be on par with Windows 7 or its equivalents. The iPhone fails miserably in this aspect. It is a feature-phone with a dual-core CPU, and will remain so until Apple decide to do something about it.

That's why iPhone users don't mind their phones being too restrictive because most of them have devices like a Mac or an iPad other than their iPhones. Restriction is only an issue if your phone is all you've got. Phones are meant to be phones and not to be treated as computers. You are ought to do only casual things with your phones. If you're serious about functionality, productivity and multimedia, get a computer!

I dont get people say Apple devices are overpriced.
If Samsung, LG, Sony and HTC manufacture their own parts and use plastic material, why they sale their phone the almost the same with iphone. Who is the money sucker? Apple bought parts from their suppliers as per their standards of course they could sell it with profits. And the maintenance of their software, services and facilities. Android phone maker only bought software from Google....

TBH both are vastly preferable to the simpleton iPhone.
