S23U is 6 min faster than S24U. Both 45W.
S23U needs 59 min.

S24 : 4000 + 25W = 75 minutes
S24+ : 4900 + 45W = 58 minutes

Using 45 charger instead of 25, you save 11 min if using S24u.

Phones of other brands with 65-68W + 5000mAh are about 48-51 min. Compatible results with S24+ .

OfficialTRider, 12 Sep 2024This sounds so fake, iPhone batteries drop below 77% in aro... moreI have 4 colleagues. 2 of them with iPhones 11 series and another 2 with iPhones 12 series.
All of them 3 - 4 years old. All 4 are between 85-88% battery health. The person with 85% has an iPhone 12 Pro Max and is somehow a heavy user.
All of them charge their iPhones until 100% almost all the time (not 85% or 90%).

Also, is very easy to see the actual age of an iPhone, as all iPhones are automatically activated in first usage. Just go to apple page and search for serial number of an iPhone.
For example, I have now a second hand iPhone Xs Max (maybe since 2 months ago). And the phone was bought and activated first time in May 2020 (so it is 4 years old). The phone has the original battery in it, 87% battery health.
All that I have written above are personal experiences.
I doubt that these cases are just coincidences or random cases.

Anonymous, 12 Sep 2024Finally ! Catching up to 2018 flagship standardsI am pretty sure they will not go above 45W. Samsung is at 45W since Note 10 Plus, if I am not mistaken. And that was 5 years ago.
I think that is the sweet spot. And probably Apple and Samsung figure this out. Is the nice balance between long battery life (4 years of battery life in good conditions) and somehow fast charging.
I mean is not 30-40 minutes, like in 65W Chinese phones, but still is not 2-3h like it was in the past. From 0-95% probably it will be around 70 minutes.

Their battery last long but degrade very fast over time. So fast charging in iPhones will further degrade the life at a very fast rate

Chinese phones are chasing vanity numbers and paid reviews to promote their phones. While Apple, Samsung and Google give meaningful upgrades.

I have colleagues with 3-4 years old iPhones, and their batteries (original ones) are around 85-88% health. Not bad after 3-4 years of usage and charging.
In comparison, my father's Realme 7 Pro battery (with 65W charger) is poor now, after 3 years. I mean is still usable, but nowhere near like it was in first year. I don't know the exact battery health, but I am pretty sure is well below 80% (probably around 70%).

Doesn't matter, the overall charging time will not change much.
The same like the difference between 25W and 45W in Samsung charging speeds. The overall time is maybe 5 minutes quicker with 45W charger.
It will still be around 80-90 minutes for full charge, I am sure of it.

                                  39W no 45W.

Another marketing gimmick to convince the user to buy another charger after buying the phone? Like, oh wow, look we made an even faster charger that is supported tough only by 16 series, this one can charge at 45w. Omitting the fact that the phone supports 45 watt charging speeds.... just saying.
