As a Tech Expert & Tech Reviewer, Even I didn't know about it. 45W is what I expected from Apple this year but was sad to know that it'll support 40W max. It further reduced to 38W-35W only to know they improved wireless Charging Speeds to 25W . Well It'll be tested soon for 45W using PD Charger. I don't know if I should try using 45W Samsung Charger though. 🤔🤔

iphone 16 with 45w before samsung in their S24, flip6 and fold6 LMAO

If you keep using your phone, the battery will degrade regardless the charging speed, the capacity, the presentge

Like 1/3 of iphone price !

Avoid 16 Pro Max completely. Buy 16 Pro if you want Apple badly. Wait for S25U and 17 Pro Max.

45W? Woah, What about muh Samsung supremacy!?!?!? Imagine being tied with Apple for charging speeds. Ouuuuch.

PatrickCzech, 12 Sep 2024Samsung?Samsung isn't very innovative. But more innovative than Apple.

22W slower than my old $300 phone

justasmile, 12 Sep 2024Even Apple is putting 45W on their already-small batteries. But generally their small batteries have a very good endurance with the optimized OS.

Anonymous, 12 Sep 2024Finally ! Catching up to 2018 flagship standardsSamsung?

It should be forbidden to advertise charge speeds if charger is not included in the box. Especially when phones like S23 Ultra are so god damn picky on what charger you use because I've had a 65W GAN charger and it wasn't charging anywhere near 45W advertised rate. Worse, my current 25W normal PD charger has same charge time as that 65W one that actually supported Samsung's protocol. And same should apply to iPhones. You cannot brag about charge speeds if charger is not included because users cannot know what kind of stupid charger they need to use to achieve it and even then they can't be sure it's actually charging at that rate unless you have a charge cable with wattage display.

Well, for Apple that is an improvement!! Now, it's up to Samsung to do something, I would say increase it to 67w if they are going to use a 5,000mha cell then it wouldn't be bad at all, you will have a charge from 0 to 100 in less than 60 minutes, I would say about 50 more minutes or less!! Now if you want to get serious, an 80w fast charge wouldn't hurt at all and take out the charger and sell it for 25 dollars and yahhh

Charging speed doesn't really affect battery health, leaving your phone plugged in at 100 percentag does. Fast charging is a blessing and curse for that.

They finally caught up to Samsung who already were criticized for their slow 45W charging years ago..

The phone is now at 80%. But my girlfriend is not taking care of this iPhone at all. Also the iPhone is practically glued to her hands, so she is using it absolutely all the time for everything. So, the phone is charged almost all the time. Still the phone dropped only 15% in 2.5 years. I am pretty sure, no Android phone will last this long in her hands, lol.
