Buy a USB-C to Lightning Adapter from Apple, it's only $29 and you don't need a new USB-C cable.

Which is really horrible given that virtually no products implement the USB C spec properly. When you get a cable in the box, you at least know that that cable-device pairing will work correctly.

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have multiple cables lying around. While Apple’s Airpods might sit near the top (price wise), these trends tend to filter down to the lowest end of the spectrum and as a result this ends up passing on additional cost to those who can least afford it. First you take away the headphone jack requiring the use of earbuds, now the cable to charge them (which is required because the headphone jack no longer exists and headphones no longer come in the box). Remember; the world does not revolve around you. Try thinking of others, at least occasionally...

In all honesty, now that they have USB-C, I'll allow it. Opposed to getting those useless dinky 10cm long USB-C cables that are bundled with all other earbuds.
