I genuinely do not understand people who would by that instead of A55 for half price.. Still with contracts all are for free (like cheese in mouse trap ofc) so I guess that explains it...

From Samsung themselves it's even more expensive than the prices that I've mentioned that are from other official stores like MediaMarkt, but try buying from Samsung and suddenly the 8/128GB variant is 870 eur, while the 8/256GB variant is 945 eur. Insane.

It's not used if it sold by Samsung themselves, is it hard to buy phone with warranty? E2400 COST less than sd 8+ gen 1 that's how cheap it is, even at €600 Samsung enjoy good margin, but things is different to D9300 and 8 gen 3.
Just rewind few years ago device from Oneplus, Realme or Xiaomi offer best flagship killer, you could get flagship killer for $300 while Samsung device with same soc were twice of that price, but nowadays you get Samsung phone which are actual cheaper with Flagship soc while Xiaomi/Realme give midrange soc at same price.
If E2400 was given to Xiaomi/Realme it was possible even to make $400 flagship killer.

Anon, 12 hours agoNobody likes exynos but Samsung.Samsung doesnt actually like Exynos.
They are way cheaper to make which translates to more profit for Samsung compared to Snapdragon.
If they are forced to use Snapdragon globally, thats a pretty big loss for them, profit wise.

All retailers like Arukereso.hu, alza.hu, Samsung experience store etc sell it below €800.
Also EU share warranty, what limit somone from Hungary to order Amazon.de?

I don't think is even a yield thing, but they're struggling to have the same performance given 8 Gen 4 went to custom cores and a much stronger GPU

Meanwhile the Xiaomi 14 with 12/512GB is only 870 eur and that has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The 8/256GB variant of the S24 is 895 eur, so no it's not competitive at all, less ram, less storage and an exynos chipset for more money.

Just checked the price of Xiaomi 14 Ultra and it is £1299 for SD8gen3 (same SoC as the one in Samsung)
