Hikari, 20 Oct 2024You've been brainwashed to believe that 3.5mm jack is ... moreBro and which one???
More and more companies removign jack.
Giving it up to 5 maybe 10 years and no new phone will be released with this ancient hole which exist since 1867.
I am not brainwashed i will and go along with modern trends and technology.
Something a caveman like you and several else people who liked what you said lives.
No thanks.
Wireless is the future and jack is just cable in hole since 1867.
Kiss him good night say farwell and let him rest in peace 3,5mm jack earned his pension.

Darth Caesium, 20 Oct 2024So you like companies removing options from people? Tells m... moreWired or wireless nothing of that will last forewer. Even a wired equipment or audio will wear and tear off over a life time nothing is permanent and soon or later componets to fix said tech will be so rare and scarce you will have to use modern things.
For example Edisons Phonograph which used Edison Cylinders a first thing you could use to listen music back in 1896. This is the same modern thing but cable or wireless powered by battery or not soon or later it will gets broken and repair will be less and less possible.
By the way even said battery we are very close to a future of batteries.
Already heard of BV100??? I assume not. Chinese Betavolt company designed and testing a first nuclearreaction powered batteries small enough to fit pocket watch. Their endurance is between 50-60 years. You wont live that enough to see how the battery degrades and will not works after said 50-60 years.
No matter how you look at it wireless is step to the future and coompanies who relly on the past are good for extinct.

Over an internet via spotify or youtube anyone can listen wahthewer they want no need for physical media like vynyl which are good at collecting dust.
And some media equipment still use it some media equipment which cant profit and use said wireless technology. Thats aint much. Soon or later they will be replaced like Vynyl replaced Edison cylinders, like cassetess replaced vynyls like cd and dvd replaced cassetess, like blueray replaced cds and dvds and internet online services and streaming replaced all that been said.
All any and every physical media one you can take to your hands are good as a dust collector. Rest been said.

Scamsung is very slow and LagUI 7 is garbage that is not released yet. I can understand that sometimes you don't have money to buy a better smartphone but please have some dignity and never buy Scamsung, especially low-end Scamsung. $260 for this brick is very expensive and if you decide to use it for 6 years it will be a depressing experience.

Oh, and that futuristic wireless audio technology of yours? It still suffers from huge latency issues and most devices on the market cannot play wireless audio losslessly because it requires a stupid Qualcomm audio processor, which also means there is little incentive on wireless audio brands to make their product compatible with the standard. Thus, you get both audio crackle and high amounts of latency, AND you need to charge your device, AND you'll need to throw it away once the battery inevitably dies on you in 2-3 years' time. I don't hate wireless audio, but this is so far from perfect that wired audio must exist side by side until then.

Well SD636 from 2018 to 2023 lasted me for no problems so i dont see why would this not last for 6 years. Depends on how people use the phone. If it be like 8 hours a screen time a day then there are not a lot of phones that last long even the flagships. They still need battery change at some point.

It's still not bottom of the budget performance as it is around SD695 while there are phones that have like 4 gen 2/3 that are weaker in performance then that. And majority of the market is full of phones that perform up to Antutu score of around 200.000 to 600.000

Even tough flagship performance rise like 1 million in a year in these scores the middle class even cant catch up as there are not a lot of middle class that have D8300, SD 7+ gen 2/3 SD 8s gen 3

7s gen 1/2 were around same performance as SD778/780/782 as around 600k score. Note 7 and 7s gen 3 are around 800k score. SD 4 series not in the area of SD 6 series and same with the 6 series that have not gone up. Same is basically with the Mediatek chips

Budget to low class to middle class is stagnant and dont advance up pretty much at all so it makes sense that A16 would last 6 years

Plus in some ways, the turntables are also seeing some positive trends in their sales, even Sony reviving their turntables player and some of their ancient techs if I can recall correctly.

Let alone 3.5mm jacks, which it still used widely in B2B-level techs that are still needed right now despite the strong wireless era at the B2C level and the insist of CPT about this "ancient technology". This proves that Sony was correct in the Xperia flagship case. Having both options wireless and wired simultaneously is the best. Same as Toyota in the case of ICE-powered vehicles and EVs. We just can't beat physics about material conductance regarding metal and or fibre optics in wired vs air in wireless.

I think the beefier processor of A16 5G with Cortex A76 cores (D6300) and or Cortex A78 cores (E1330) will prevail better compared to those with A73 cores. The question, however, is how the heavy software and the optimization of OneUI will navigate A16 in later years, especially when I heard low-end HMD-made Nokia with much lower processors was doing better compared to Samsung mid-rangers (A3x and up) in this site a few whiles ago.

The Galaxy S6 series had its water resistance feature stripped away, at least officially if not unofficially. But the rest are correct: The S5 and S7-S10 were water resistant and had 3.5mm headphone jack(s).

Considering we still have OEMs releasing new phones with ancient A73 cores and eMMC today, this phone will be fine in 6 years. Just make sure not to get the 4GB RAM model.
