Cpt.Power, 20 Oct 20246 years of updates what a bull**it???
Samsung should give ... moreThey don't give updates then people cry "My phone is perfectly fine, it is working for a 5+ years with just a battery change, but shitty phone company doesn't give updates. All hail Apple with 7 years of updates."
They now promise 6 years of updates. Now you cry "How dare you provide more updates!!"

Cpt.Power, 20 Oct 2024Removing useless ancient technology is good. You can use ... moreThe 3.5 mm jack isn't ancient. Its is a very good and robust technology. It went away only because apple decided to get rid of it to sell airpods. The other copycats will always do as apple does, just look at the new phones comming next year, slowly all will have a shutter button.

PartTimePhoner, 20 Oct 2024I expect my midranger A50 to survive until it reaches 6 yea... moreIf your A50 can, I don't think why the A16 5G can't. Performance wise This A16 5G's processor is literally 70% faster than the A50 (source: NanoReview).
And oh yeah, more efficient too.

How GSM team push this phone like something good is amazing. I like people who keeps their neutral status. Here is not that case.

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2024Everybody will buy a new phone after 3 years anyway. Be it ... more"Most people" is a better wording on this context compared to "Everybody". Since yes, majority of people change their phone every 3 years, but that's doesn't mean 100% of people did the same.

Samsung, unlike other companies, cares about its users and UI. Software updates are very important in today's age. I'm getting one as a backup phone👍🏻

6 years of updates what a bull**it???
Samsung should give a 6 years of warranty for whole device too.
If they believes te phone will last this long they could give equal warranty-
All OEMS and Phone manufacturer companies should and could give years of warranty equal to years of supported updates.
If not its only E-Waste and a marketing gimmick.

Azu10157, 20 Oct 2024Still unbelievable that they removed the 3.5mm jack. Removing useless ancient technology is good.
You can use USB-C earphones or wireless ones.
If you dont want to stick to modern age buy your self a battery powered radio.

I'm sure it will like like most phones from half decade... it's all just how people can resist the tempt to upgrade the phone...but it's not worth it for me I could buy other better deal phones with better specs...
