Under the current bans, Huawei should not be able to source chips manufactured using American equipment.

I doubt it will fruitful in next five years. I believe chips need purest of water and TSMC in Taiwan have exactly that. Plus engineers are superb.

          Lately, I thought of buying a portable console capable of replacing the PC I already have.

          What remains?

                    The only problem i have is that pura 70 ultra isn't as powerful as newer phones... If it was i would buy it straight away....... I still have my p30 pro

The difference is, the Japanese or Korean don't mix businesses with politics. That's the reason behind them doing business with each other, even if some political concerns about WW2 are still present

                                  This will only bolster mono/duopoly, period. And that's what US gov want, taking everyone's money as a "tax" and makes less choices for people so they only buy what OFFICIALS want, not what the buyer want.

                                  Here.. take Apple product. You don't like it? Then maybe we give you a boring Samsung. Not satisfied? Well, you can choose Xiaomi, FOR NOW! But if they get to No.1 selling brand, you CAN'T buy it! Don't you care for your country's security?!!

                                    So I’m guessing the US is trying to bury themselves. I feel like the world leaders should band together against the U.S. Tbey’re becoming a huge bully.

As long as a company uses US technology then they seem to have the right to ban them from supplying companies on their entity list if they so please. Seems a bit ridiculous but that seems to be the reality unfortunately
