I don't buy the whole "oh there's not enough space argument, there's definitely enough space for what I've suggested. The periscope telephoto using a very slightly larger sensor, and the ultrawide using a somewhat larger sensor isn't going to be constrained by the current space. Also especially not when the selfie camera gets swapped out for a module that's the same size. What I'm suggesting are just reasonable specs for the given space/acceptable use of space for a gaming phone. If you want less space to be used, well guess what? You could totally fit that into a smaller space than what Asus is using too, because it seems like they're exceptionally incompetent with space management.

            I have to say that those are some weak cameras, even for a gaming phone. And assuming its the same camera setup for the Zenfone, why even bother? At that price point it should be two 50MP shooters, not some 13MP weak sensor that falls apart in anything that's not perfect lighting.

              It is sucessor of imx789.

              Lyt700 ( imx921) is just updated version of lame 766 and 890 ( now known as Lyt701).

              808 is better than 700.

              Public cmos are cheaper than exclusive, even if specs are equal. There are always some secret modifications for clients

                  Somebody failed physiques class here;

                  Tell me how much more volume of air can you move with zero port flow restrictions, eith bigger blades running much slower and covers a larger surface area vs a 24K spinner at 1/8th the si,e of thr competition with a surface are no more than 4cm square and a very tiny twisted port area to move hot air through!

                  Tell me which will be significantly louder and more necessary for more cooler air flow?!

                                After all the silicon carbon batteries released, My perception on battery scale has become really bad, it's almost like 5800 mah isn't good, man this feels weird.
                                Hopefully Asus upgrades support for the Rog series of phones though.

The actual likely reason why the LYT-808 isn't widely used is because it's not a massive difference compared to a LYT-700/LYT-701, and the phones that use something better most likely use 1"-type sensors anyway. There's not a lot of points in which this could work in a truly competitive market, and there's also not much of a position for it in a heavily segmented market either. It's like the awkward elder brother of the LYT-700/LYT-701.

                                        I miss when Xiaomi was still making gaming phones, they made cheaper models using older SoC.. and Asus $1100 was the cheapest price..
