I'm thinking about soon replacing my Xiaomi Redmi 10C with a different one. I bought it in August 2022 and so far it's been holding up, it only feels like battery life is slightly, but noticeably worse than about a year ago. Everything else is working fine, literally, I have no reason to change the phone as it works and I can estimate being able to use it for 2 or more years, but it concerns me that HyperOS has problems with battery life, I am thinking of getting a Xiaomi phone again, but this is a bit of a concern to me.

Not even 90 min video on youtube would show me the amount of ads I saw in 10 min trying to find stuff withing oneUI. More ads than what you see on any tv channel from USA . Extremely bizarre.
The option to stop the ads , gave me those messages " error, try again later"

Rolly Ghiz, 28 Dec 2024Why, if I may ask? Anything wrong with MediaTek?I also thought mediatek are worse, but then again my son's nothing phone 2a is fantastic.. no bugs, fast, battery lasts forever during light gaming... So it might be vendor/firmware specific complaint..idk

Okay seriously guys I can't find the average ram usage setting in developer settings on my Poco x6 pro, also I turned off game turbo and now I can't turn it back on since it vanished from the phone after turning it off.
That Average ram usage is more important though since it's a very important setting used to check how the phones ram is being used.
Tried using 3rd party apps but they all can't access the settings, like it doesn't exist at all

Moreover, they already start with a thin margin, selling old flagships as budget models won't quite cut it. It is difficult to follow the Apple way unless you're Apple.

I was considering X14T Pro but meanwhile Hyper os 2 got released and one look at Xiaomi Forums (their official forums, not Reddit) and...rip. Have to wait and look for alternatives.

Tried the Xiaomi Note 13 Pro plus in store. Even though all reviewers claim that it does not come with ads, it took me 1 minute to find a pop up ad in Xiaomi's own app (the Cleaner app)

There is a lot to dislike in xiaomi, bloatware, ads in software, uninstallable software giving you notification you never asked for, of course you can disable/ignore all that.
And the full price of their phone is ridiculous to me, ,I'd never buy one at this price but very quickly on amazon they 30% cheaper than the advertised price, and on the xiaomi website it's coupon fiesta. It's almost like they're inflating the real value of their phone to scam not knowing much about phones.
There is no bad product just bad price, and I've seen the poco m6 pro 4g 135€, the poco x6 at 175€ and the poco x6 pro at 210€, no other brand can compete with those price/spec.

Always ended with bad experience with their aging to heat, lag, frozen & battery drain.
Still a good budget device. Good advice, Always stick to SDragon no matter what.
