Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra camera leak lists pretty much identical sensors to the S24 Ultra

I still maintain that Samsung should drop the 3x zoom camera and return the 10x zoom camera. 200MP camera sensor has more than enough room to do 3x zoom.

Main 200MP camera is good enough but the rest three need upgrade GN3 for both UW and 3x telephoto and they should put another 200MP camera for 5x Zoom. Yeah it would be slightly expensive but its an Ultra phone🤷

If Samsung, Apple and Google would use latest camera hardware on their cameras like "1" inch sensors they would destroy those Chinese oems with their better software processing.
At least Apple is on video much better than anyone but for photos not so much.
If Sony could get their shit together(they have used "1" inch sensors) on their software side they could be the top 1 in both photos and videos!

Come on, Samsung... Let's be frank, even Sony, although still up on the air, is planning to change both larger, better continuous optical zoom telephoto on the next gen Mark VII Xperia 1 after reaching satisfactory, long 170mm in Mark VI (alright, both Ultrawides in Xperia 1 VII and S25 Ultra will change at least for a better one) and even Sony didn't do much for Xperia since they change their target market, Samsung is just blatantly even behind Xperia and Apple in term of progress.

S25/+ will be exactly identical to their predecessors sensors lol. The 10mp telephoto and 12mp ultrawide combo on their non-Ultra flagships is the equivalent of Apple's 60Hz screen flagship.

H... moreIt will perhaps sound crazy but I got a Note 10+ with 512Gb and a MicroSD of 512Gb and even more before switching; 512 isn't enough for my usage (Why having 4K and 200MP sensor / RAW if not using it ??), I like to have a hard copy in case of phone becoming a brick after a update of for no reason.
Just as a security.
It's not the main usage of user I agree but still, they left us no choice. And I dislike them for that, despite the fact that they STILL SELL MicroSD haha.

It's funny you say that given how none of the phones that have sub-type-1 sensors don't look any nicer than those with type 1 sensors. I'd take a large circular camera bump over a cooktop or five small individual bumps any day of my life.

The camera was the biggest disappointment for me with the s24 ultra. I came from a pixel 8 pro and it was a massive downgrade. I feel like the sensor has a bit of headroom for improvements through better processing though so maybe it's not the end of the world. However that 3x was pretty garbage and I'd hoped they would have ditched it.

IMX 907 will be used by iPhone 17 Pro Max. Lets see how it performs. It's high time, Samsung and Apple shows some trust on Omnivision sensors. No doubt, IMX sensors are good, but use OV sensors for a change.
