Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra camera leak lists pretty much identical sensors to the S24 Ultra

It seems like only the ultrawide camera hardware will be changed.

        If omnivision was even better than isocell, apple would use instead of paying much more for sony's. I bet imx803 is easily 2x price of ov50h.

          There is no way some brands put bump as huge as chinese ultras.
          Too big, too thick.

            Exmor is better than isocell. But problem with samsung phones is amount of enhancement.
            Jpeg is too different from dng. And should not be more than 10% .

              So Samsung wants to play the game "How to lose customers?"?
              Their software, camera wise, is well behind the competition. I have a S23 Ultra and the processing algorithm is an aberration!! Also you basically stuck on shooting photos at 12MP because the other sensors are rather useless. I had to install a GCAM Mod so I didn't need to sell it... It was the worst 1.200 euros I ever spent. Right now they need to focus in a good software algorithm for their photos processing or else they will lose to their competitors. Vivo, oppo, one+, Xiaomi and even Huawei are way ahead of Samsung, photo wise. Samsung of all brands, top brands, is last.
              If S25 series ain't gonna change anything I probably will hold on on to the S23 ultra for another year.
              It's sad to see Samsung boat sinking...

                    Apple will use 1/1.12 inch sensors soon for their main camera. Maybe next iteration only. Let's see Samsung use their 326MP sensor or not.



                    For S25+, they should use OV50H/LYT 808 sensor. I will be happy if they use the same. IMX 906 for portraits.

This has something to do with the shutter speed and the speed of the subject motion, and is absolutely not related to the sensor size in any way. What you meant to say must have been a shallow depth of field, which Xiaomi 14 Ultra controls by having a variable aperture.

                                    Apple is still stuck with a type 1/1.28" sensor because their sensors are custom-made (Likely they have a specific requirement for the readout speed) and they are supposedly quite a bit more expensive compared to off-the-shelf ones used by other manufacturers.

Vivo is a lot smarter in terms of the implementation of their 200MP sensor (albeit smaller in size), as they pair the sensor with the telephoto lens which is naturally easier to design/manufacture and has more even corner-to-corner sharpness, despite the diffraction kicking in and lowering contrast & softening the details considerably at full resolution.
