vivo X200 Pro's battery in these countries is even smaller than the X200 Pro mini's

PatrickCzech, 28 Jan 2025We have 6000 man battery in vivo x200 Pro in Czechia, and w... moreThis is indeed an interesting observation. I can think of three possible explanations for that, but I have to admit that I could be wrong on all three accounts:

1. The 6000mAh model in Czechia may not be the real, official offer from vivo but some sort of "grey import" from China, whith the trader having installed the global version firmware. That's at least one possibility.

2. Maybe local, national regulations have overruled EU-regulations, with some EU countries allowing a certain size or capacity while others do not.

3. Maybe the 5200 mAh version does not just have a smaller battery but also changes in internal design and structure (e.g. Mainboard, placement of various modules etc), and vivo planned to make only a relatively small batch of these differently designed devices, which is why they are available only in some countries but not in others.

So, all of this is just pure speculation, and I wish some industry insider would reveal the true reason.

    That's quite sad, but it's due to regulations, not really the fault of vivo ( or Honor ) and that's still better than what Samsung offers, plus with faster charging.

      It seems that Honor have been on the receiving end of some unjustified criticism. I have the HM7P and it's an awesome phone. The UK battery may be smaller but it's still considerably larger than Samsung offerings.

          Companies are just full of crap. It's really not regulations. Even removable batteries can be just as big if made properly, without extra plastic and with cables and plugs just like non-removable ones.

            The Vivo y200 has an Asia version with 5000mAh battery and a global version with 4800mAh battery so the battery capacity is not the problem, it's just the company being dodgy.

              Well yeah it DOES matter, the X200 Pro was a great phone for the price and now it's only a "good" phone for the price. They cant put 2 cells because of space constraints most likely or to create a difference between the Ultra and the Pro. Whatever the case man, keep in mind that the X200 Pro has a larger ZOOM CAM than the S25+'s MAIN cam. So yeah keep yapping bro

              And I'm not even saying it's not a scam. If you had eyes and the ability to read you'd have seen that even tho i love Vivo i was criticizing this and calling them shady for this. Unlike you i have a functioning brain.

It takes a few days for politicians to change their mind. They can't make a different phone for every country and keep production cheap. It's simple business, if Vivo have to pay all their costs while keeping margins low to be competitive then this is what happens. Unless you want to invest heavily in these brands to get the phones you want?
                Nothing recently made a video showing how much MKBHD's dream phone would cost to make, that would help quell your demands.

                            LOL....everyone was mad at honor for the smaller battery in EU but i sayed it EU regulations and tax and i was 99% sure of it......now vivo doing the same....LMAO.....EU is doomed with all that tax and monopoly(samsung and iphone)
