Just my opinion, 08 Feb 2025Mmh... Even if the situation is true, one can't ignore... moreGreat China Mainland. What is the law of equality and freedom of speech? It's just a billboard made by Government America and only for its own interests.

Even if the situation is true, one can't ignore that the U.S. has never been entirely innocent or a fair player in competition.. When the competition gets rough on their side, they often seek their ( g o v ) for support which can lead to tough measures against foreign competitors. We've witnessed this several times.

China is just fine with Appl e, Tesl a, and other companies operating there. In contrast, look at the US. They took action against Huawei as soon as they were rapidly dominating not just in the U.S. market but other markets globally. We all know how that turned out for Huawei.

A similar issue is playing out in the electric vehicle (EV) sector where Chinese companies have proven to be the most competitive. This reality isn’t lost on other car manufacturers, including those in the U.S. (the US weren’t even shy about expressing their concerns regarding competition from China’s EV sector). This has resulted in proposals for trade barriers and bans on Chinese software and hardware in new cars.

The same situation is now occurring with TikTok, and I am guessing we might as well expect the same treatment for DeepSeek AI along the way. Only one party in this relationship is clamoring for war. Playing dirty and then making excuses about spying and cybersecurity risks or concerns just because u refuse to admit defeat and are afraid of being demolished again and again by out.siders, is pathetic!!!.

It's not surprising that Chinese smartphone OEMs hesitate to expand their markets to the same global scale as Apple and Samsung, They know that they’ll face back/lash as soon as they begin to dominate

Meanwhile, in the U.S., there are constant complaints about wanting more brands like Vivo, Oppo, and Honor to enter the market... Boz you are all tired of Sam and Apple... you reap what you sow

Kloot, 07 Feb 2025Bro this is FROM the GSM article posted TODAY: The full ma... moreThe subsidies introduced this year mentioned by GSMArena are general subsidies for smartphones which don't target Huawei or vivo but price points.

You then link to an old article that is no longer relevant talking about subsidies in one city (Shenzhen) for vivo and Huawei as proof they will be top brands.

While Samsung still commands sales due to brand name, they already lost a lot to competitors. Those who buy china brands are people that could've been buying Samsung products.

                                Vivo is amazing tbh.
