    It is hardware difference that software CANNOT EVER compensate.

    LYT 818 is 70% smaller than LYT900.
    Its FWC ( ability to absorb light before saturation happens) is far lower. At most 50% if lucky.
    It is gonna impact the files.

    Does not matter if vivo applies enhancement to cover it ( like samsung and google love to do).
    True dng file would really show the truth.

    LYT900 is nothing cheap. SoC alone got $40-50 more expensive.
    This can easily be measure to cut costs.
    Same way chinese brands stopped using samsung oled when domestic is easily $30-40 cheaper per unit.

        That is wrong. Even worse when digital zoom on QB is worse than Bayer sensors.

        By the way, DSG does same of DOL HDR, used by few other exmor. Nothing new. Just more power efficiency.

            If it isn't for you, that's your personal opinion which I respect I also respect other people's opinions even if I don't agree with them.

              In your head, sony semicon decided to spend years and money on tech that has much harder fab process ( reason mass production is still short) and has much higher cost , but makes zero difference.

                    2) seek for opinion of professionals, not personal taste. Personal taste does not matter when technical evaluation is done.

                    Look at oppo foldable. Traded LYT T808 for another. Photos got worse.

                    Do you think Sony Semicon would mass produce tech if they were not sure it is better than previous?

                    Fanvoys find excuse to justify why vivo, huawei and xiaomi ask 1400-1600 euros and do not use the best tech available

                          I believe the lyt-818 is just an imx707 with upgraded tech (tcg, dol HDR, 22nm, 4k120, etc).

                              Eyaddy, 14 hours agoThe Vivo X200 ultra might perform exactly like the X100 ult... moremight be worse in 2x main cam sensor crop due to the smaller main cam but will be better everywhere else due to the newer ISP and better processing pipelines. I fear that their processing might be a tad too artificial this year. But I'll reserve judgement till it comes out.

                              Overall tho, it should be a huge leap in terms of camera lens balance due to the better main cam focal length and the huge UW cam. If they do some software trickery to have a 24-26mm focal length available through a UW cam crop im sure it's gonna be a killer photography tool. Imo 35 mm is the perfect main cam focal length so it's gonna be awesome
