Anonymous, 30 Aug 2013Same here! I rather paid for what inside but not the look! What is inside is Android... Check google Play to see the number of crappy, half baked apps that litter the place. Not a good idea to spend so much money for that mess. Dull!!

Even with plastic Samsung has ruled the market. I guess it's time for total dominance.

Absolutely ryt buddies! All the ppl crying fowl about Samsung's use of plastic have their iPhones & Nokias covered so I see no point in making a metal phone, twill only make it heavier& pricier while makin it very fragile. I have 3 or 4 of my colleagues who own iPhones here with dents & broken screens but not even 1 Samsung Galaxy phone is broken/scratched. IMO strong plastic or Carbon Fibre is a better idea. M happy with my plasticky new Galaxy Fame with a metal strip on the edge that I bought on Sunday, same as the Galaxy Ace that I just passed on to my lil brother on Monday, no scratch. Battery is the only issue in 2day's smartphone technology.

It goes without saying that we 'weel' take it with a pinch of salt. But if you look at Samsung's strategy of selling phones, they are a company whose flagship are the lowest priced devices among its competition recently (barring of course Nokia that are really out of competition with their Windows Phone locked hardwares). So going for 'premium shells' on their new design style (and keeping prices down) seems unlikely. They are definitely not gonna go for duralumin like their Series 9 laptops. Polycarbonate is another option after glass.

The second hand price go down, because Samsung cut down the prices when the new model comes out.
